Another HBO hit. Starts off with a bang too.
It's amazing how consistently good their shows are

Yeah it's pretty legit so far. That Wulfgar looking dude's new blond trophy wife tends to get nekkid a lot, which I condone.
I read that series years ago. Probably stopped after the 5-6th book.
It was pretty good if you're into neckbeard fantasy novels for situations where you can't bust-out the Dungeons & Dragons set.
so the beginning was the thing killing everyone...wtf happened to that? i was expecting some shit to happen and its getting boring lol
hah, it's called a "series" for a reason bro
It will start off slow, introducing you to everyone, plot lines, and then get crazy.
You ever watch Boardwalk Empire? Same deal.
It could be me, I fully admit it. Check out Camelot if you can, see what you think comparing the two.i don't find it draggy at all. i think the whole thing between the starks and the lannisters is pretty enthralling. plot twists like the incest thing between them, throwing the boy off etc then trying to kill him again. that's pretty crazy
besides, almost all shows start off with character development. it's only the third episode.

See, I didn't like Boardwalk Empire or the Tudors, either, but I did like the Sopranos, Dexter, Big Love (except for this last season)... like I said, I'm still on the fence. My biggest problem, currently, is they alternate between virtually whispering and shouting, I can't hear WTF they're saying most of the time, and there are SO many characters I'm losing the plot.

haven't seen this show yet, sounds like it could have an assful of awesome. i'll have to get it nao!
No surprise there, my opinion has apparently been invalidated everywhere else, why not in terms of entertainment, too.your opinion is no longer valid

Perhaps best I just keep my posts to myself everywhere on the forums and be done with it.
if you have HBO on demand, all 3 episodes are on there already. good time to catch up before the season gets too far along
Yeah, plus she enjoys having teh sechs with family members. Thats a no go in my book.
I wanna see more of those monster fuggers outside that huge ass wall. Plus the inevitable battle between the Wulfgarians and the regular people due to the fucking albinos trying to get their throne back or some shit.

IMO its a Cheap ass boring knock-off of LOTR .
Lol. Clearly somebody who hasn't watched it.
It's NOTHING like lord of the rings other than the actors having English accents and fighting with swords. There's also not as much black and white in terms of pure evil/pure good. Theres no unification against one common enemy. characters are more complex. One guy also doesn't fight 1000 orcs or enemies and not get scratched. Characters die
There's also no sex/incest/political backstabbing/extreme violence in LOTRs.
You gonna compare Corky Romano to the Sopranos next?
eh, yeah i have watched it....and i thought it was pure shite
the fact that sean bean is playing a similar character in both,in the same setting ,with dwarves ,sword play ,sorcery and all that kinda thing justifies the comparison...and like i said IMO.
Im not a huge fan of LOTR. it is a great book and good movies came from it .
Obviously the budget for LOTR was massive and i think it makes game of thrones look like a weak spin off - and yeah i know neither story is related.
If you follow the story line you will catch the fact that the man she is fucking is not really family. As figured out by reading the lineage in the book .. watch it a few more time my man you will get it.![]()
LOL dude, dwarves aren't a race in this. he's a midget like real people are midgets. One midget from human parents does not = kingdom of dwarves
and how is Sean Bean the same character? He was a douchebag as Gondor or whatever the fuck his name was in LOTR, and almost took the ring from Frodo. He was the greediest one. In this, he's the most honorable and noble person in the story.
and there's not much sorcery. have you seen one spell cast? They even say that magic doesn't exist.
your comparison is way off base. and as far as the stories not being related, you're dismissing that like it's not a major point. Stories are what DIFFERENTIATE a movie or tv series from another.
you're entitled to your opinion about not liking the show, but you have no validity in your analogy
Like i said, the only similarities....swords and english accents. You have to be really narrowly minded to deem those 2 lone commonalities a "rip off"
lemme guess, you're a reality TV type?
.......
oh i get it. you're from Ireland. you hate *anything* with English accents![]()

I think you misunderstood. Jaime lannister really is her twin. The lineage reading was ned stark figuring out that the boy (geoffrey) couldn't be the king's son because all the king's bastard children had black hair. He was realizing that the children Cersi claims to be king roberts children are in fact children born between her and her brother.
.......
only kidding my man....i just dont like the show!![]()

fuggin TV shows stealing my look
Im gonna write HBO and get them to hire me to be that dude instead of whoevertehfuck is playing him now

Fuck, I hope Wulfgar doesnt die...although I think CW just spoiled that shit for me. Asshole!
I wanted to see him pwn some n00bs...but it looks like his wife is going to get into some shit with her dragon blood.
That, or her kid. Going into the tent of bloody magic juju is gonna mess somebody up.
We pretty much know her dragon blood will do something, she could touch the hot dragon eggs and not get burned.
I'm curious if the ending at the last one (no spoiler) is a psych. I don't think they would do it, and they didn't actually show it.
I think it's pretty cool that the older son is taking over and getting ready to kick some Lancaster ass.
Lannister.
Bishes always pay their debts apparently, too.
I watched it for the first time the other night. Only part of it. Damn that midget is begging for a fucking football punt right in his little raisens.

stfu
I might have to check this out.....I need another good dirty/wrong type of series to take the place of Kalifornication (which is the best series ever!)
meh, i still say it sucks .....![]()
and I say Matlock was better than Columbo.
what you think about that ngr?

wash your fuggin mouth out with soap...never compare the Lieutenent to a coffin-dodger like matlock.
...and matlock was a lawyer not even a cop .
Game of thrones is just a spin off of the 80's movie "willow"![]()
you know that 50% of it was filmed in Northern Ireland, you mickey bastard?
I figured boozing, killing and whoring would appeal to the irish. there's a lot of each
Shit is about to start up again right?
Also, new HBO series called "Luck" with Dustin Hoffman, looks pretty badass.
No..about 5 months. April i believe.
they're still filming
