It's become commonplace for many people using AlCar to take in 3g or more per day when using AlCar for fat loss.
I have noticed on some of the other forums that many people feel the high doses cause a somewhat "cloudy mind" feeling. AlCar is supposed to improve cognitive function, but some people think the megadosing actually has the opposite effect.
There is also the issue of if and how much AlCar can increase oxidative damage within mitochondria (which many combat with the addition of R-ALA when taking AlCar).
I have taken as much as 3600mg per day, 1200mg 3x a day. Is this much really necessary for fat burning purposes? When combining AlCar with other metabolic enhancers, such as Green Tea, Evodiamine, Forskolin, ect., can one get away with lower doses?
The last question I have - strictly for fat burning purposes, would it be more beneficial to take plain old L-Carnitine at the 3-5g a day doses some suggest?
