: Everyone,
: Be very careful about the quality of the whey protein that you are buying. I have been researching the
: market again and have found a few interesting things--believe me I know what I'm talking about.
: The industry pricing for instantized (easily mixed in liquid) whey protein isolate (ionic exchange
: quality) is $5.00-$8.00 per pound. This is the pricing from the actual dairy manufacturers. Think about
: it--some of the so called ionic exchange whey out there is selling to the public for $5.00-$8.00 per pound.
: At the retail level, real ion exchange will sell for at least $15.00 per pound. This is due to the extra cost
: of labeling, packaging, middlemen, etc. What most people are buying is nothing more than WPC--Whey Protein Concentrate.
: This is probably about 70-88% protein, can be instantized, and tastes the same as the higher quality material.
: The pricing for this however is much, much cheaper. All this talk about peptides is hogwash because real, pure,
: whey peptides is extremely expensive and sort of bitter. One super large-scale dairy manufacturer just came out
: with this and its super expensive--used mainly in the pharmaceutical industry. Most either don't have any peptides
: or are putting a small amount of hydrolized material in their formula (hydrolized product is also pretty expensive).
: Believe me, this Designer Protein that's out is not really as high of quality that you think. Really, does it matter?
: I doubt it--you'll never see the difference on your body anyway. But if I were you, I wouldn't want to spend my money
: on a quality that is lower than supposed to be. Solution--I don't know because these companies don't manufacturer
: their whey, but buy it from one of the dairy manufacturers and they'll never tell you which one they bought it from.
: If I were you I would buy a cheap product that tasted and mixed well--and remember to inspect the sodium content--it
: should be fairly low.
: Keep up the fight

Unique brings up an interesting point. maybe this message will give shed some additional light on the subject. Champions Choice just recently came out with a whey protien supplement called " Whey More Protein " so far ive been using it for a couple of months and it is definately producing good results. It is 100% ion exchange protein and is 16.6 % hydrolyzed. The protein is enzymatically hydrolyzed yeilding di, tri and polypeptides. it also contains 891g of l-glutamine/100g serving.[ which is an 86g protein shake. also contains potassium phosphate and bromelain. Na -63mg/100g serving It sells for about fifty bucks[ for two lbs] and it comes from the most reputable Canadian company in my opinion, its owned and run by ex IFBB pro Franco Caveleri. He also makes the creatine citrate which i have been using for a year and have had great results from it. Better than monhydrate. the creatine is bonded to a citrate molecule which makes it better absorbed when good old krebb is done with it.
stride fer size!
