In een recente zaak van de hij-zei-zij-zei, enkele prominente leden van het boksen gemeenschap zijn het gooien van rond steroïde beschuldigingen over elkaar. De aantijgingen eerste begon toen Floyd Mayweather oom, Roger Mayweather, zei dat zowel Manny Pacquiao en Amir Khan sap. Zijn exacte citaat was als volgt:
De enige reden dat Amir Khan is uitgegroeid tot de vechter die hij is, is because he's got those steroids in his ass too. The same thing Pacquiao's got in him. I know because those motherf***ers told me.

Seeing as how professional boxing supposedly has rules in place against steroids, Khan didn't take to these accusations lightly, and told reporters:
I have been drug tested every time - so many times I've lost count. And I have never failed one of them. Ihave been tested out of training camp and in training camp - even answering unexpected knocks at my door to comply. I have proved I am a clean fighter.
Khan took things a step further and questioned whether or not Floyd Mayweather is clean since he "looked so much bigger" when he fought Oscar De La Hoya in 2007. Hij zei:
It’s not for me to say but quite a few people over here wondered if Floyd was on something when he fought Oscar De La Hoya because he suddenly looked so much bigger.
Obviously I could care less if these guys use steroids since I'm the research director for a bodybuilding site that deals heavily in the subject. Echter, I think it's funny how these guys are lobbing juicing accusations back-and-forth like some gossipy middle school girls.
