Why do bodybuilders have so many SEXUAL issues/problem?

Don't even bother responding if your gonna say something like "I have no problems" or "Im hard as a rock on gear,etc..." Being a member of several diff bodybuilding boards, i've noticed many AAS/PH users have encountered numerous diff sexual issues varying from impotence to no drive, to taking too long to ejaculate,etc... Anyway I have a feeling there is something behind this, and not just low test levels. Sometimes when people are on too much test they get a loss of libido or erectile dysfunction(ED) and then the same happens when coming off a cycle as well. It seems that after messing around with gear or PH's your never really the same again. Even after test levels have recovered, there still seems to be something that has been effected. For example, I started messing around with andro's at 19 and started gear at 21. Even before gear, after a few andro cycles, about a year later with proper PCT I still noticed something was missing. I didnt have any ED but the lack of drive really wasnt the same as before I ever messed with my hormones. It seems that nobody knows the anwser to this. Everyone knows that during PCT, test levels are low and that causes problems, but i've talked to several people who after years and years of staying off everything, it just wasnt the same as pre- AAS/PH use. Even when test levels tested normal. I wonder if some other hormone or something in our bodys get effected when we mess with our hormones that could be permanent. Maybe the endrocrine system or whatever causes sexual attraction in males gets messed up when hormones are thrown off permanently. Any ideas other than the usual we hear?

Who loses libido effects on Test? When that happens you have a problem

Do you belong to any NON-BODYBUILDING discussion boards where sexual dysfuction is discussed as freely as it is here? Probably not. So why would you make such a broad generalization to state "bodybuilders have so many SEXUAL issues"??? You really don't have a clue as to what proportion of the rest of the population suffers from sexual dysfunction... you just assumed everyone else (non AAS users) must be normal.

There are more factors that effect our sex drive and our sexual performance than mere steroid use.

maybe just because we actually talk about this and bring it out in the open. i doubt there is any published study showing that bodybuilder have more or less sexual issues than guys who never touched a weight.

But on the flip side look how many men who never lifted weights or took prohormones or used gear AND HAVE sexual probs and issues. MILLIONS of men in the USA and globally suffer from sexual problems, whether it be impotency, erectile dysfunction, low libido, etc. etc. Just take a look how good Viagra is selling !!! Look at alllllll the herbal supps from all over the world claiming to improve sexual performance or cure sexual probs. SALES ARE BOOMING !!! So...... how does one explain the sexual probs with the general male population while at the same time pointing to BB`s who "use" and have
(so called) sexual issues ????

sexuallity is a man's livelyhood so why would they mess around with too much test when they know there is a dangerous side to it?

vanity??

I think that there are quite a few bodybuiders/athletes who never really come off completely. Some are not willing to sacrifice much in order to return to endocrine homeostatis. They think that 250mgs/wk of test is considered HRT when in fact it's just a low dose cycle.
Also what's the use of taking propper ancillaries to bring endogenous test levels back to normal as seen on their blood tests only to start another cycle 1 week later? :insane:
