Re: Workout Plateau Share Your Tips to Get Over a Weightlifting or Bodybuilding Plat

I found when I cut the amount of sets and exercises back and focused more on the basics while going heavy with lower reps, I seemed to put on some extra thickness. I also combined this with adding some extra cals in my diet. It helped me to actually grow though PCT.

ease off the heavy lifting and lighten it up to keep slow form under control. concentrate on really squeezing the muscle.

i sometimes cut rest between sets to 1 min or less for a few weeks, then go back to 2-3 mins rest to break the plateau

havent had to go through a plateau but found that lifting heavy basic movements always helps me keep progressing in my lifts

Re: Workout Plateau Share Your Tips to Get Over a Weightlifting or Bodybuilding Plat

When im stuck at a certain wieght with somthing (lets say bench for example), ill go to dumbells for about 1 month, and not touch a barbell for any press. I get way stronger with dumb bells. Than when i go back to barbel ecercises, like bench, im usually alittle weaker at first, but ill get my strength back in about 2-3 weeks, and than ill break my record shortly after that.
So pretty much switch it up.
