Your Superbowl predictions?

Eagles and Pats

How can you say that the Steelers can beat the Pats after that dominating game against the "best offense in football"

The Jets had that game won, the Steelers were totally out played in that game.

Small Ben will not do a damn thing against us.

this is the kind of talk that gives vegas wood

After last weekend, I got my money on the Pats........I love Ben, hate the Steelers, but he will make a rookie mistake this weekend........Vick won't be able to run on the natty surface of Philly and the Pats will shut down McNabb...........

Odds are that the score will be close to this again. LOL!!!

it amazes me how most people picked the colts last week, saying how weak the pats d was, now after one game, beating a team they OWN, everyone is back on the pats bandwagon, this was a team that was a home dog last week and now they are a road favorite??? against a team that totally handled them during the regular season???? a team that was 15-1???? how does a 15-1 team manage to be a home dog against a team they already destroyed once this year???

Hey Hammy - no bandwagon here.......I'll be the first to admit, I thought the Colts would be able to throw all day against the Pats hurt 2nd-dary........so, I was wrong, and lost a few bucks. Made them up on the philly and Atlanta games.........This week I got my $ on the Pats, laying off the other game.......no bandwagon, just for the love of $$

hammy, you are THE best. so wise in your tiny ways!!

how about betting on a team who has won 21 games in a row and 29 of 30 (i think) and 2 of the last 3 super bowls... perhaps the same w/ a QB who is undefeated in the postseason? the same team that shut down the colts like a pratice squad? perhaps the same team that is the most humble focused true "team" in football...

have faith hamster.

I was thinking pats yewterday based on the way the Steelrs played against the Jets...but you have to assume each team will play to their ability

I agree with Oldin

watching vick to me is just amazing... to see someone with that much ability and speed is like awe inspiring...

Shadow, check out #81 of the Patriots... Bethel Johnson... young young kid who is a receiver/kickoff returner... someone told me he is one of the fastest men in football... he is awesome to watch too... just to see a kid pull so far away from 10 guys that are also running flat out.... amazing...

they are also playing a 15-1 team that beat the living shit out of them in the regualar seaon, a game that mattered A LOT, a game that decided home field advantage, they are playing this game on the road, im not saying the pats will lose, but people need to look at these things before betting and quit blindly going on a teams perfomance from the previous week, this is how people go broke, a team doenst go 15-1 because they are lucky its because they are very very good

a team doesnt win 21 straight games and 2 SB's on luck.

patriots didnt have dillon last time. 2004 steelers are a blink in NFL history.

:)

if you think that dillon would of won them that game, then you really are a patriot fan and there is no use discussing this

hello!!! of course i am truly a fan!!! :)

am I blinded with fanaticism?? maybe a little!!! i dont go around saying, pats rule, you suck, end of story... i dont think dillon would have won the game, but when the guy puts up 144 yards in playoff games, and their defense is as good as its been all season...

i'll give the steelers the credit they deserve!!! they have an awesome defense!! their offense isnt all that good, and weve seen what the pats D has done for the past 3 years... roethlisbuger is good, real good... but he is a rook. and these are the world champs... he IS human...

i can do this all day.

;);););)

Check out the stats on that first meet up. The Pats ran 6 times. In the whole game. The first quarter was 21-3. They had a major melt down for about five minutes of play. Ty Law breaks his foot, Brady gets a pick for a touchdown, and Berger gets a long TD.
Really you can't expect those same things to happen again. There will be alot of running by the pats, and thier D will be solid, and Cower will cry.

The city of jacksonville will not put on a good show. the cruise ships will be a poor substitute for hotel space. The parties will be subdued and the fact that the super bowl and Mardi Gras are the same weekend sucks big dicks.

The skywalker will be at the game.

other than that, dunno?!

come on hammy, thats all you got!!! :)
i have talked wagering and the point spread only in this thread i dont care who wins the game and never once said who would win the game, all i said is it was a bad line, i talked to 2 other people who know lines pretty well and asked them what they thought the line would come out at, both of them said pitt -3, i thought it would be pitt -4, the line came out at pitt +3, thats fishy, and i smell a vegas trap, im not getting into that though, i have always been a very good predictor of pro lines and last year during the 4 divsional games i was off by a total of 1/2 pt, i nailed 3 games and missed the other by 1/2, also i thought the atl/philly game would come out at philly - 5 and it came out anywhere between 4.5 and 5, you have to understand that lines ARE NOT predictors of outcomes, they are predictors of betting patterns, but vegas will lay a trap now and then, imo this is one

If you think Brady was forcing deep out-routes just for shits and giggles, you really did not pay attention to the first game. He had zero running game, so it became the Brady Bubba-chuck show.

And remember, 15-1 is only one game better than 14-2. Both teams squeeked out some wins...like Pitt over Miami, Pitt over the Giants, Pitt barely over Buffalo, barely over Oakland, barely over Jacksonville.

Oakland W 24-21
Baltimore L 13-30
Miami W 13-3
Cincinnati W 28-17
Cleveland W 34-23
Dallas W 24-20
New England W 34-20
Philadelphia W 27-3
Cleveland W 24-10
Cincinnati W
Washington W 16-7
Jacksonville W 17-16
NY Jets W 17-6
NY Giants W 33-30
Baltimore W 20-7
Buffalo W 29-24

In fact Hammy, Pitt actually had more closer games than New England did this year. Take away Brady's fuck up in Miami, and both teams are 15-1.

And in 2001, remember when Pitt was supposed to crush New England at Three Rivers? What happened?

This game comes down to experience and execution....and will Ben stay calm in a tight game?

I could NOT have said that better. K for you.

most nfl games are close, good teams win close games, pitt is a good team which is why they are 15-1, you are starting to sound like spurrier talking about margin of victory, carolina won most of their games last year by 4 points or less, had they been a bad team and lost those close games they wouldnt of even made the playoffs, i am not saying or would i ever say ne is a bad team and doesnt stand a chance in this game, i am talking spread only, you seem to be missing the point of what ive been saying, one last thing i would like to add is that pitts 2nd most impressive game of the year was the "sqeeking out" the win over buffalo as you said, pitt had absolutely nothing to play for and was playing an incredibly hot team in the bills who only had to win to make the playoffs, pitt won

Well...........I wanted the Colts to go but once again the fucking Pats proved that ..........Yes, they are all that. And more.

So---im wootin for the Steelers, who beat the Pats before but I dont know. Id like to see the Steelers go mainly for Bill Cower, I dont relate to many of the players like I did on the Colts. Peyton dissappeared last year for 2 weeks after loosing to the Pats out in the woods. He'll prob do this again except get ate by a bear or something.

I almost guarantee the Pats will win. The Pats without Dillon earlier in the year are a far different team. Granted this game isn't in Foxboro like they have been in the past for NE, but still, NE isn't the Jets. NE wins. No question in my mind.

Falcons v steelers.

Falcons.

I just can not pick a PA team.

I predict that the halftime show will be an extravagant embarrassment, and the commercials will be even lamer than last year's batch.

I thought the Falcons could pull it off.

Doesn't matter in the end though...cause the Pat's have two weeks to plan for this.

Tickets? Anyone got tickets?
