Soilwork - A Predator's Portrait
Sworn Enemy - As Real As It Gets

how is a predator's portrait, in comparison to natural born chaos or figure number five? or is it more along the lines of steel bath suicide or chainheart machine? i'm not a fan of the older soilwork stuff, so i've been debating about predator's portrait.

Nice choices. Especially Soilwork and 40 Below Summer.

i'm glad 40 below summer dropped the rap metal stuff that was on the first album. i wasnt a fan of that, but the songs that didn't have the rap really shine. definitely a good band.

It's like in between, but more on the death metal side. It is a good record, but not much clean vocal work, if that's what you are into.

Great CD!

I'm still trying to get into it. Trying to get into the vocals. They're definitely different than other hardcore bands. Im used to the deep, throaty sound.

But the guy sounds a little similar to Children of Bodom, At the Gates, or As I Lay Dying. I think I will grow to like it soon. :)

I think that's why I liked it so much. It wasn't the typical "hardcore sound". They have more of a "metal" sound and that's what I'm all about. :garza:

The PX here is having a blowout on selected CDs. I've bought 33 CDs in the last week.

everything from Josh Groban to Brooks & Dunn to Celia Cruz....
& some Christian artists too. Basically anything I'd remotely want to check out, or didn't have. Got some for my kids (B'days coming up)

So far my favs are Martina McBride's newest one, and (OK, this is cheesey) Michael Bolton's "Vintage", a collection of 30's-50's standards.

Just got back with the last 11. gotta go check'em out.

$.97 apiece. no joke. all brand new.

the cd i just are betwwen the buried and me fucking sick cd very talnted and heavy, and As I Lay Dying - Frail Words Collapse good cd:fro:

Just bought another 14.

Meatloaf, Peter Frampton, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Mark Schults, & all sorts of stuff.

The Frampton's really good. It'll take a while to get through them all.
