Your guide to the most accurate vodka ratings around (by AAP)

#1 Grey Goose - voted #1 for a reason. This is just so clean and crisp going down. Motherfucker. Water of gods. When people attend my parties, this is what they bring me.... because they want to be invited back.

#2 Diaka Vodka - most expensive vodka in the world. Quite a unique taste to it. If you go to a party and get served this... marry the host. If they are already married, dispose of said obstacle and then marry the host. Anyone dumb enough to serve this at a party has more money to part with than they can remember.

#3 - Ketel One - Often Top shelf in bars that don't want to serve Grey Goose. Very nice and smooth. Lackluster bottle design though.

#4 - Belveder - A favorite of the artsy fartsy crowd and their pretensious ways. Nice vodka... quite a upscale touch to serve it at large crowds. Unfortunately, it gets overlooked at the liquor store because 9 times out of 10 ditzy cheap ass queen refill the bottle with some shit like SKOL trying to pass it off as Beleveder by adding a squeeze of real lemon to the bottle to give it that "zing" taste... like some of our upperclass asses can't distinguish the difference. Thus their deception hinders consumer purchases due to the fact they were not really impressed with it. No. Because they didn't have the real vodka. Cheap ass hosts.

#5 Skyy and Absolute - nothing fancy here. 99.999% marketing success is why they have not been cast to the wayside. People buy them because they think they should. But I guess you could do worse.

Vodkas that were not worthing mentioning - Ultimate, Van Gogh, Stoli, and Smirnoff.

you have good taste AAP, grey goose is my fav. I will try Belveder if it is not too expensive. a 750 of grey goose is about $30 around here

stoli elit was voted #1 by the beverage tasting institute http://www.tastings.com/search_spirits.lasso and Highest Recommendation by wine enthusiast magazine. http://www.iwsc.net/resultsSpirits.cfm at the 2006 international wine and spirit competition, grey goose got a bronze medal and ketel one and svedka got silver. when i think vodka, i have to give it to the russians. i dated a russian girl and she told me the best vodka comes from a certain part of russia and it isn't exported. they keep it to themselves and it is not sold outside the country. she told me that stoli and grey goose taste like crap compared to that stuff.

a ton of info on whiskey @ http://whisky.com/single_malt.html supposedly a guy named michael jackon is the number one authority on scotch whiskey and such in the world. he has written many books about whiskey and which he thinks are the best.

how much for the diaka stuff?

damn right i will. i'm paying for the illusion. illusions are fine, even if you know they are illusions, as long as the knowledge doesn't shatter them.

So you walk into this restaraunt
Strung out from the road
And you feel the eyes upon you
As you're shaking off the cold
You pretend it doesn't bother you
But you just want to explode
Yeah, Most times you can't here 'em talk
Other times you can

i made a batch of vodka the other month that absolutely destroyed grey goose or any of that other bullshit. you put it in your mouth, swirl it around, notice a faint tingle, drink it, think it was actually water or only distilled to 20% instead of the 40% it is, then fall on your back with your feet in the air like a drunk cockroach

any of the other distilling enthusiasts out there will tell you point blank that any vodka made from a continuous process (as per the fractionating columns they use to make commercial vodka) from non refined carb sources (like corn or whatever is cheap, as per commercial vodka producers) will retain more cogeners than a single batch process, where you keep the 'hearts' of the distillation and discard (or re-refine) the heads and tails

raw spirit made from refined sugar in cool conditions in large batches with only the hearts kept for on the rocks drinking absolutely SMASHES the commercial stuff out there.

if I looked like you in your avatar I wouldn't futz around making me own vodka

anna nicole's son she lost

why not? my vodka > everyone elses vodka ;)

anyway ive always been a project guy. i get bored, and make stuff. i made a reflux distillation apparatus pretty much as a result of a bet with my dad that i couldnt make greek tsipouro aka raki aka moonshine

i do tend to overengineer stuff though, and dont make the standard 7 bottles at a time as per normal home stills. at first it was cool, next there were 10 cases of vodka in my kitchen and i looked up and thought "smart one, dumb one...what the F are you going to do with all this hooch?"

now im an alcomoholic and my meninges are made of titanium :(

also, you guys need to try using kava. kava is hilarious :lmao:
