Yeah, I'm supposed to say Slayer, but I can't lie. Pantera it is. Powerslave is going to hate me.

Anyone ever notice that I'm Broken could be Van Halen if they were into metal? Simple verse/chorus guitar work with the catchiness factor at ten contrasted by a complex virtuosic guitar solo? I mean, obviously they're not related, but the structure is close.

Interesting to note that all bands severly fell off. Everything after Seasons in the Abyss is just lame; I have a hard time listening to Sepultura after Arise (Chaos A.D. is okay at times); and Reinventing the Steel is a big meh in my book.

Oh well.

I really can't argue with any of this. Although the last two Slayer discs have been better. It's hard to out do the best thrash record of all time (Reign in Blood). Sepultura really started losing me with the Roots disc. Too much tribal shit. I've seen Pantera live more than any band, but they were getting real repetitive to me.

I used to like Chaos A.D. until I started listening to more music, haha. Shit like Biotech is Godzilla cracks me up. I have the reissue and the live version of Territory is Max at his funniest (I wan to see dis whole place faukin' movin' alright?!). It's an okay disc, but it just doesn't measure up to the three they put out before that.

Yeah, I think God Hates Us All was decent. Band just created a legacy in the 80s that was impossible to follow up.

I have "A New Level" tat on my arm, I'm forced to go with Pantera
