Today my squat was up 8.5 kilograms from two weeks ago - a HUGE jump for me. This was a huge thrill for me too, because I was aiming for a 2.5 kg jump, my usual, if I go up.
I think this is related to one, or both of two things: 1) I'm still in the first month post comp. so I can expect my lifts to increase quickly, since they dropped quite badly in the last couple of months.
or 2) the fact that I went to the chiropractor yesterday to find out why my thumb was numb, and he told me by the way that my pelvis had come out of alignment and straightened it all up - said it was related to the iliopsis (anyway, ilio-something) - the muscle that helps the hip flexors to lift the leg, and that being too tight on one side. That's caused by having an office job and sitting too much.
So if you want to improve your lifts ... maybe you should visit the chiropractor!
