time to play devils advocate: arent most of the insurgents foreign fighters? these people come from neighboring islamic countries to wage jihad on the "crusaders" based on the teachings of radical clerics.

Quite frankly I don't think anyone knows with any real accuracy the number of foreign fighters in Iraq. There are estimates, but they can't be trusted IMO.
