I almost can't even come up with a response because that's so insane. Who cares? To each their own. It costs 20k+ a year to keep a person in prison. Why would you throw a woman with a clit stud in jail? How on earth is that harming society? They'll let a rapist out after 2 years but heaven forbid those wild women with genital piercing are wandering the steets?

Ack! I can totally understand wanting to avoid someone having their infant daughter's genitalia mutilated, but a consenting adult ought to be able to do whatever she wants with her body, for goodness' sake! (Obviously.)

They couldn't include males in this because then folks wouldn't be able to have their little boys circumcised.

I don't think this is going to be able to actually make it into law.

I don't think that female genital mutilation is in any way similar to male circumcision. A male still has ALL of his feeling after being circumcised, a women looses way more in having her clitoris cut off! Having a piercing is also in no way similar to having your clit cut off, so where is this guy coming up with this stuff? Really though, he's just going this far with it because of community pressures from the case in Georgia, where the guy and his buddy cut the clit off of his infant daughter with a pair of scissors might get out of the charges because it was his religious practice, and there aren't any laws against that right now. Religious practice my @ss, they just do that to show women their place - it has nothing to do with religion.

It always seems that the very people who have the most problem with issues regarding OTHERS' sexuality, genital piercings and whatever have serious perversions THEMSELVES. They're the ones who get caught molesting kids and doing other creepy things. I guess they think everyone must be as sick as they are.

This is so very true -- the penis is not affected in any way by circumcison that I am aware of. Most men who complain about it seem to have an issue with the fact that they couldn't choose having the procedure.....

But the female cirumcision procedure is just plain brutal IMO -- there is no reason to cut off the labia major or minor & remove the clitoris if nothing else than to repress women's sexuality and keep them as "property"

However clitoral piercing is not even in the same league as circumcision....it's a choice by an adult not forced on a child by a parent....and even tho I wouldn't get it done myself, why should I care if someone else does it?? How does it harm me?? Please keep Bush out of my bedroom! (pun intended!! LOL
