It's too bad what has happended to O-Town. Used to be THE place to go when Firestone and Edge were kicking. I was a year behind it all.; Right when I came in 98, shit started to fall apart The "Anti rave act did us in hard. Now there's nothin but mainstream dj's pinning mainstream music and it SUX. O-Town is dead. Unless firestone can get bac to their roots and these bearucrats lightn up, we may havea chance to party like we should be able to party.

Damn you can tell I was pretty drunk when I wrote that. Seriously though, who comes to O-town anymore? The radio hypes Sandy like he's this big time dj when in fact he sux. He used to be a huge flaming candy raver. Now he's totally against "raving". and is straight. He's a hypocrite. The best place to hear music is on trancedomain.com . Trancellot brings in a lot of good people. They even hype that bitch Baby Anne who thinks her shit don't stink. DJ X? give me a break. Most of the clubs either play breaks or the shit you hear on 95.3. The people here can't appreciate trance which fucking sux. A couple of my friends tried to get firestone rolling again with trancelott but no one is into it. It's way too main stream now. They're more like college hang outs. Even my friends who spin say there isn't even decent records coming out. My neighbor is buying all of my friends records from 98 b/c all the shit now is either remixed older stuff or shitty music. I even hear on the news that the city is trying to get more family oriented shops on Orange ave b/c they don't like all the clubs that have moved in. It's the one thing I ahte about living in the south. Most of the politicians are conservative christians who damn any club type environment. I may get back into it if the "vibe" returns but until then, O-town is just a micky mouse town.

One more thing. I don't mean any disrespect to any of you guys who may spin in O-town. It's just not like it used to be. The clubs are good to go and have a couple drinks but that's it. When I used to go, you didn't have to worry about getting into a fight if you bump into someone. They just said sorry and moved on. It's not like that anymore. Hopefully something will happen soon that will bring back the vibe. I just don't see it happening until the city relaxes a bit. But hey, the city wouldn't have had to tighten up if it wasn't for all the H, G, and X overdoses. It's too bad a few bad apples ruined a really good thing
