Ybor CIty - where to party in FL?

OK , I live by SOUth Beach, so that isn't an option . I want to go on a 2-3 day vacation with the girlfreind , and the requirements are :
1. Has to be in FL
2. Hopefully some nightlife, clubs?

Key West - Has some bars, but during the day there is only so much to do (go dive, come back and hang out I guess, then party at night....) also hotels are expensive mother f-ers!

Marco Island - relaxing during the day, but there aint't shit to do at night, boring as fck!

Ft Lauderdale? - hell I live 30 minutes away!

Iheard Ybor CIty...whats up there? Isn't it by Tampa. Tampa is full of old fu_ks and is an old town

ebor city is a historic district with a shit load of clubs...the crowd is kind of the rave scene but there are a bunch of punks that start fights it's a younger crowd.

it pretty much sucks there.

have you checked orlando --- downtown orlando has quite a few good clubs.

roxy's has there front room modeled exactly like Pearl in SOBE it's probaly the best club in orlando.


during the day you can go to the parks.

why don't you book a weekend cruise? that would be ideal

OK, forget Ybor.... Funny you should mention Orlando . I just posted a question about Pleasure Island .... Orlando not Kissimee or what specific town? I have been up and down 192 in Kissimee and don't remember any clubs, just hotels.... by Old Town..

I enjoy Ybor City...going there again in a couple of weeks. The streets are all closed off to traffic and it's an old cigar manufacturing area that is being turned around nicely. They've re-done a section right in the middle and it's called Centro Ybor with a 2 story kind of town square area with upscale places to eat and drink, an outside patio bar which has lots of chick oriented contests (can you say boobies!), the adult video arcade where you can drink, Victoria Secrets that's open late...till like midnight, clubs with every genre you can possibly imagine, and the only time it gets creepy is after around 2:00am, but there are cops EVERYWHERE and I hear many of the streets are video taped for security. It's a great place to people watch, drink, get a tatoo or piercing, eat and generally have a good time. Ages are mostly in the under 30 range, but there are a lot of 30+'s. You'll see lots of people walking with water bottles too.

Personally I don't care much for Pleasure Island...it's a theme park of clubs with a lot of different styles of music, but I don't think the crowds are as fun as Ybor. Drinks are over priced from what I remember, but I haven't been there for about 6 yrs.

Yup, Everytime I go there it gets ugly...

Orlando is ok but ever since they passed the law to close early a few yrs ago the night life has gone to shit.

Roxy is ok and gets crazy packed on Sat night. Monday night at the fights is cool if you want to see people get knocked the fuck out. Antigua and Tabu are ok too, I usually have a good time when I go there. There is also Icon which I am not to fond of, but its all about what you are into. Firestone used to be the shit back in the day, that place would go of da hook!!! That was my spot. There is also a place called Sky60 which is on a roof top, not a bad place to get started. All white decor, kinda got that south beach vibe. You wont have a problem finding something to do, just dont expect a South Beach experience.
