This is what a little 10 year old girl said to a friend of mine yesterday during the sox game/marathon yesterday. We teach em young up here. That will teach yankees fans to wear their dumbass yankees hats in my town!

I work in the sports industry also (business side). however, I never believed being a sports fan and being a moron were synonymous. chanting the yankees suck when they beat your team EVERY year is pretty fucking stupid and pointless in my book. but, hey, that's just me.

That's totally different. Insulting the team you're playing against is part of the game. If you want to root against barry bonds you call him a juice monkey. Not everything you say to an opposing player has to be the god's honest truth you know...it's part of sports. Seemed to get into A-Rod's head...probably because he's a fucking faggot and a pussy. He couldn't have handled the pressure in boston anyways.
 
Yankees seem to start out slow and step it up when it counts. Win or lose, they`re definately a smart team. I like the way they`re managed, Truly professional.

They get bet by Boston just to give them a taste of success, only to crush them in the postseason when it counts, that makes it hurt so much more.

But I agree with you...I like Joe Torre...he's the fucking wild card in the whole deal. We always have good teams, but can't find a solid manager to save our lives. I honestly believe if we had torre we'd have a few championships under our belts in the past couple years.

The yanks have it all, and that's why I hate them...they have an owner who will spend anything to get everyone, and a manager that can win with an all-star team (I don't think grady little could have). We'll see how this year turns out...I have a good feeling about it.

I agree with you, Torre is a cool customer and knows how to handle the myriad of ego's he has in that clubhouse. He is the glue that holds that team together.

And I don't think Boston would have won a few championships with him at the helm. Steinbrenner would have hired Bucky @#$%@ Dent to be the manager for NY and spoiled your teams chances.........again.

But seriously, Torre would have won it for us last year. And no, I'm not just talking about the move to leave pedro in...but grady little made so many fucking mistakes in that series it was rediculous. And people say "he got us that far..." No, the sox got that far DESPITE having him for a coach...that guy sucked.

I was so happy last year when they were talking about getting rid of torre...the yanks would have went straight downhill. George finally opened his eyes...luckily for you homos. :rainbow:

Boston is the fucking best sports city in the world. And Monday was the biggest sports day in the history of one city i think. I was around kenmore square, we had the sox coming back to kick the yankee's asses, as the boston marathon winner was running by, and the bruins were getting ready for a game 7...what a fuckin day that was.

I've never been to Yankees stadium, but I'm sure it's not as good as going to a game at fenway...especially a sox/yanks game. I might be going down to a yanks game at some point this season, so I'll let ya know how the two compare.

Although NOTHING is going to compare to the game i'm going to in sept. Green monster seats for sox/yanks, playoff time approaching (for the sox at least...don't know about the yanks, LOL!). Can't beat it.

I don't care what anyone says...If you've been accused of juicing for the past couple months...thousands of people screaming it at you while you're at bat trying to hit a 90mph pitch...it's gonna take your mind off the ball at least A LITTLE bit. Maybe they're not dwelling on it, but it just gives them something else to think about...which is big when trying to do the hardest thing in sports...hit a baseball.

Oh yeah...that area of comm. ave. is notorious for the cockroaches. Down this way we only have monstrous rats in our apartments...much better.

All of it got torn down about 5 years ago when the Yuppies invaded. The Rat is where many bands got their start, such as the Cars - it was just one of those places that fit the name...If you didn't get laid at the Rat at that time you might as well mail it in. :p

Hahaha...damn football team. That's what BC chants at the beanpot these days...as we hand them their asses (except this year).

Trying to find a place to stay right now, if I can find the right place, at the right price, in this area...then I'll stick around for a year...then it's off to sna diego...if all goes as planned.
 
That is exactly what I did when I graduated, I went to North County San Diego (Del Mar) worked in a nice restaurant in the day (bar) and the top Nightclub in the evenings (at the door). Best year and a half of my life, and I honestly had to leave because I was having too much fun and needed to get serious. In the end it turned out to be a good decision both ways. All I can say is I never dated so many beautiful girls in my life.

Can't wait...But I've heard that same story before. Had to leave because it's too fun...or other people just stay and never come back. We'll see how it turns out. Any suggestions on where to live? I'm thinking about going to school in LA (USC)...I guess the drive will be a bitch, but I've been told to definitely live in Sna Diego, not LA.
 
USC is way to far from SD for commuting given traffic, just apply to UCSD (the better schol) or SD State...If you have buds, live near the ocean otherwise inland is much cheaper. Try Encinitas, Carlsbad, Leucadia...you will not go wrong there, believe me. Let me know if you ever have any other questions.

Hoping tomorow is a better day for you.

BTW, my three buds stayed out there, one is an actor, one does sets, and one is an engineer (married a crazy chick out there and got kind of screwed).

That's what I figured about the drive...but people say it's an hour, and they say an hour isn't bad for cali...it's all highway. But I've never been out there, so I really don't know. Guess I'll work on a new plan.

I have friends out there that live in some ocean city (is Ocean City a place? if so, i think that's where they live).

Much longer than that to get to USC, are your friends in Oceanside? Yes that is right above the towns I mentioned, pretty good place but is home base for marines (e.g., lots of competition for women).

hahaha...i hate it, cuz i know this means nothing. The yankees are always gonna be there in the end. (I'm using reverse psychology, maybe if i think the yankees will do good, they'll keep sucking.)
