WU Question

Not sure if this has ever happend to anyone but sent a WU and it appears for some reason or another it was never picked up or persons name was black listed so now I have to pick funds up. Other than having the origanal WU receipt do I need to aslo show ID?

If you have the receipt, you shouldn't need ID. Just tell them you are canceling the transaction and want a refund.

the receiver name is blocked by WU, you need to call WU tell them your money was blocked and you need to get it back, they should give you a new MTCN and then just go back to any agent with ID and you should be good. your name will be the sender and receiver. bring the receipt just in case.

Really thousands of people use WU every day for all kinds of stuff. I don't think you will be in any trouble picking up the funds using your id. In fact, if you used your real name (the only way you'd be able to use ID anyway) then they already have your info so what does it matter. Just go pick up your money.

Same experience recently. Recipient was black listed. However, since mine was done online, the money was automatically refunded to my account. Alternate was good to go, no further problems.

obviously there is a problem though with the reciever if the name is is blocked from recieving funds...i myself would not show id to be connected with this name.....havcing your name and address on a reciept is different then having your name address and drivers license number on the slip
