WTF? Doctors posting on EF from the Nurses station ??

Hey all, Long time

I was at the Hospital all this week off and on giving my wife a break since she's been there with her Mom who's 83 and suffering multiple serious issues.. Tuesday, I pass the nurses station and see the EF Forums logo on a screen one of the Doctors was using and think "What the Hell" ??

Do you all think it's right that they are surfing and posting here on EF and BB.com instead of taking care of their patients ?

I'm worried that Mom isn't getting the best of care and these Doctors and even some Nurses and Radiologists are probably all doing Juice to pull those long hours without sleep..
 
really?? do you ever take breaks from your job that you work 12 hours on 12 hours off 7x week?? and sometimes 36 hour shifts?? that's the issue i have with the industry, overworked providers..

Sure, but I don't use company resources to surf questionable sites.. that would be just stupid..
 
Yes. You are completely over reacting. You honestly think your mother in law is going to die bcs they are looking at a website in a hospital??? get a clue dude.
 
I would say you might be slightly over reacting.
 
I work in a hospital and I do it...when I'm on the unit, I'm on the unit and focused on what I'm doing. When it's my break time or at the end of the day and I do it to unwind...I don't have a problem with it. Even if it's a work computer. I could just as easily sit in the food court and use my phone. IDK..maybe I'm wrong but I pride myself on being very good at what I do and if I don't take those breaks and take care of myself, it eventually shows up in how I deal with patients and their families.

If your mom was being neglected or ringing her bell and no one was coming because they're all crowded around the computer, that'd be an issue. If she's receiving good patient care, leave it alone. The happier the staff group, the better the care. :)

I can't comment on your specific hospital but the likelihood of them doing juice to stay awake is slim to none and doesn't even seem rational. Like any "helping profession" you're far more likely to find things like alcohol abuse and recreational drugs/ prescription drugs.

Her care has been good, most of the doctors there are Indian
Likely they are selling their cheap fake India manufactured dBol or something online while at work.. lol
 
I'm not sure you all realize how serious of an issue this could be with changing the subject.
No wonder our medical care costs are so high compared to other Countries.

Who is Chris90210 ?
Is he a PhD in liberal arts and calls himself "Doctor" here in order to impress the EF ladies ?
 
no, hes an DO, just not an MD...which actually makes him a Dr

DO's have more schooling than MD's and they both take the same board exams. My wife is a DO and board certified emergency medicine physician.
 
Wow, this place has really gone downhill over the years.
It's like sitting at middle school cafeteria table, and not the popular cool kids table either.

Yep they do and they also post pics of their cars, pools, etc lmao. Children at best
