Meaning, a woman who has been involved with women for over five years straight, no men in between.

(Assuming of course, for you foolios out there :), she is not the 'stereotype')

She would probably go back to the ex. Also, she must have some issues if she hasn't even wanted a man in 5 years.
 
I would if only 2 rules are followed

1. The strap-on is never used on me as punishment

2. She brings a friend over for 3 somes on my birthday every year.
 
I guess it would mostly depend on how much I'd trust her. Most ex-lesbian's would still be attracted to the same sex. What I would need is to be able to trust her enough that she wouldn't decide she is lesbian again and is not attracted to men anymore.
 
Come on man get a gripe, think about it. Here's a woman that's gone 5 years without dick. No one goes 5 fucking years without dick unless there is a REALLY good reason, i.e. she does not like it.

The only light this woman has seen, is the light coming in under the door of the closet.

I live a clean lifestyle and have a girlfriend who does the same. Her past, or lack thereof, is one of the chief things that attracted me to her. The kind of moral values an "ex"-lesbian would have are not those that I desire the future mother of my children to have. If she's capable of going against nature and licking carpet, God knows what other immoral things she's capable of. Lesbians - great for porn and such, but a relationship with one is the last thing I want.

Much the same applies to smokers, drug users, or ex-whores. No fucking thanks!

Thanks. Just wanted another conservative Republican view on it. I feel the same way. I like to watch, but getting involved is a little different.
 
I don't see what the problem would be for men..maybe they will feel insecure with her going out with female friends and such, or be afraid she will go back to being with women.
I, however, don't think I could be with a reformed gay man...it may be a double standard, but thats just the way it is.
Just like seeing two women together is a turn on for most men ( and women!) , seeing two men together isn't appealing.
BTW: strong chick--thinking of going back?? LOL;)

I know the husband-and-wife-wanting feeling. I haven't been able to make both work, though. I'm a one-at-a-timer now, so it's an either/or thing. I'm currently just getting the guy thing, ah well.

On the other hand, my boyfriend is psyched that I like to watch the girl/girl stuff on the playboy channel. And I'm psyched that he's psyched. And then there's great sex, lol.

I'm bi, but for what it's worth, yes. I know some fine lesbian mothers. I also know a brother and sister raised by a lesbian (she came out a few years after having the kids) and she was a great mom. A real tough love type. her kids turned out well. The girl is an accountant and computer specialist, and the guy is a state trooper in New England, married with a kid. Both are straight, for what it's worth.

I think it would be wise to ask if lesbians would date women who used to be straight. I have a few lesbian freinds and they say they would rather not date bisexual women.

5)nurture.....

Well, except in the virtual world of the internet, I never tell straight people I'm not straight, and I never tell gay people I'm bi.

I have a friend who is the mother of four adopted children. She is a great mother. She is also completely gay. Funny though, she did mention that now that she is older she wishes she was attracted to men and could have had the "cleaver lifestyle". It touched me in the way that she did not feel sorry for herself but rather just wanted someone to come home to that loves you unconditionaly and is accepted. She is a beautiful person. I hope she and myself find that one day.

But, as we both know. Good women are hard to find.

Too true! Some of my exes now say that, sadly. I honestly think it all depends on how much committment and trust both parties have, regardless of their orientation. I personally don't think the open (ie 3 or more in the relationship) thing works regardless of the sexes/orientations, so I don't play that way anymore. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't a cheater -- it was understood. It jsut didn't work out. And cross-sex menage a trois breakups are the worst and, frequently, the scariest.

I've discovered that basically, if I'm in a relationship with a person, my sexual orientation has to be not "gay" or "straight," but "committed." I don't share anymore, so it really doesn't matter what my more general orientation is. The only time it comes into play is when I'm between relationships, which I'm getting better at avoiding, thank god. Also, when I'm checking out the cuties. I don't discriminate there, and my partners have to deal with that.

You're right it is all about trust /commitment.
I have to say, it's a lot more harmonious to the relationship when you can check out cuties with your man, instead of worrying about him checking them out himself.....I think I point out more women than he does......

Just as long as it's not gay porno and the participants are consenting adults over the age of 18, I don't see it as immoral as females licking carpet. Of course, it's not a very "moral" thing to do.

Actually, I deleted my porn folder yesterday... hehe. I don't miss it yet.

Hey now, let's not categorize me. =) The Conservative Republicans share some of the views that I do, and I affiliate myself with that particular party, but ultimately, I'm me.

Every belief I have is due to logical and moral justification beforehand. I'll be damned the day I accept something as "right" simply because the Republican party says so.

Just glad to see that I'm not the only "weirdo" who wouldn't want an ex-lesbian or bisexual girlfriend.

I noticed the question was would you date, not would you have sex with. Anyway the answer to either would be certainly so as long as she was as attractive as you are. No Rosie O'Donnell or Janet Reno types.
 
I wonder SC, what the response would be if they had never seen your pics? Negative, as it was. Part of the problem with people in this country, too concerned with the outer appearance, no clue about the brains, or soul of people. Consequently why most marriages dont last. Relationships built on physical appearances, generally don't last. Well, they do, until you have a conversation......

Back to the original question...I would "sleep" with her but refrain from a serious relationship.

It really takes a strong preference for the same sex to be gay since society puts so much pressure on people to be straight. I would be more than than happy to be friends with a lesbian. Was once and it did not bother me in the least. I've been friends with gay men until they push me into adopting total acceptance of the "normalcy" of inserting an organ in the male buttocks. Ugh.

I don't care if they do this. I think they have to be this way frankly or they would not. But the push for total acceptance of their deviance is disconcerting.
