all i wanna do all day is lift.. i dont wanna over-train but im on 500 test and 400 deca and recovering fast.. would it be a smart move??

No it would not, you will end up over training. I usually give the body part i've trained at very least 24hrs rest if not 48hrs before training again.

I Train Twice A Day Morning Then Night Same Body Part Morning 3-6 Reps Heavey Ass Training Then Back Later For A 30min In & Out Same Bodypart But I Do Lite Weight 20-50 Rep Sets Pump Blood And Nutrients In There This System Works But Cycle It With Other Training Princibles ~g~

Probably you'll over train. It works for just a few genetic freaks.

Only pro's who can live this lifestyle 24/7 can really get away with a true double split. You could do your weights in the morning and then come back later for something like cardio and calves/forearms. But a true double split wouldn't be a good idea unless you are laid back most of your day and can eat plenty of good food, take 1 or 2 naps, etc.

Just go in hit it hard, eat right and REST. It's better to undertrain than over. A famous quote from a former great mod here, Spatts. :)

My setiments exactly.

If you have the time a morning/evening split is great. Try something like the following, just keep the number of sets low for each bodypart:

Mon Morning: Chest
Evening: Shoulders & Tri's

Tue Morning: Back
Evening: Bi's

Wed Morning or Evening: Legs

Thur Morning: Chest
Evening: Shoulders & Tri's

Fri Morning: Back
Evening: Bi's

Sat Morning or Evening: Legs

Sun Rest

Training is kind of like tanning. Stay in the sun for the right amount of time and you get a tan, stay to long and you get a sun-burn.

Once you reach a muscle pump you have a tan, anything more you getting that sun-burn.

don't overtain

yep...

growing muscle is not about stressing that muscle as often as you can, it's about feeding it, stimulating it, and resting it..

Good post.

So if you DID have the ability to take a 2-3hr nap a day and have access to good meals, I'd be curious to hear how some of you would say the pros do their splits...

If you want to know what the pros REALLY do, go to professionalmuscle and read the articles section. Hardcore bulking series by Gavin Kane is highly recommended. Tons of pros there that are HONEST and no bs.

If the gym was right across the street from me, I might do something like this, its not a bad split, but its just a waste of time IMHO. Plus I get greater gains with just doing legs once a week. I would also be more inclined to follow this if I had the time and was in a cutting phase. Could just be more of a circuit training regime.

I only grow big time when I train twice a day. I get lean and big in a hurry. I can train twice a day 2-4 days a week and once the other days, one day off.

peace
