It's hard to explain. I know things are very tight money wise down there. But alot of folks just have an "aah fuck it" attitude which doesn't help.

So alot of partying. Alot of buying lottery tickets instead of saving $$$

I guess that sums it up

The one thing I would like to see to justify the govt. money going there is a positive attitude, and willingness to to help,work,do something to rebuild.

I haven't seen that yet. New Orleans is a part of our history, there should be some pride and motivation to help rebuild, what the fuck else are they doing? Put those hands down and pick up a shovel, don't expect someone else to do it for you.

Now is a great time for people to improve their situations. I hope they do.
