Maybe the issue is a lot more complex than what we imagine. Dude, can you picture any greater show of intimacy than someone wanting to swallow your load? Not to mention the tremendous sensation you feel at the moment of orgasm.
Those of us who lived through the sexual revolution (long before the advent of deadly STD's) were able to rediscover that sex among consensual partners could be uninhibited and free of the taboos imposed by religious and social mores. We reveled in the fact that we could enjoy our sexuality and not be restrained by conventions and came to explore various sexual acts joyfully.
