i like orange juice - with some pulp

ok, that being said, i do see the "bigorexia" in friends who lift. they don't see their real size. one person in particular that i know doesn't see that his current size is perfect to his frame, yet he wants to get bigger bigger bigger...
 
I really think the bigorexia thing is kind of ridiculous...I mean, it does have some validity in some people but come on, big is definitely in the eye of the beholder...to smalls, I probably would look pretty big, to Ronnie Coleman, I'm a skinny punk, to myself, I'm too small...that simple...stop trying to attach a disorder to people who have a desire to attain a certain size.

And by the way Buksoon;

It's a good thing you like skinny guys, because if I saw you in my gym, I'd make you pay me just to lick the sweat off my nutsack, and pay me you would.

And if you're not doing it "for the chicks" why would you be offended in any way by what buksoon said? She was clearly aiming her question "Why?" to that group of individuals.

Danielson- no I was not being sarcastic or facetious. We should come up with a real medical term and do the necessary research (easy through questionnaires at college gyms for example) to publish it.
 
I juice because i like to work out, and in working out I like having good results as any sane person would. The strength gains of some are very nice, and, I being the type who likes the comments coming from those who recognize that I work out, do it for the muscle gains to. I've only cycled once before, I choose not to do heavy amounts of steroids, But I do choose to do them, and will continue to until jailed up, only have enough money to pay for food, or die.

I am in fact doing it partially for women, I happen to very much enjoy when I'm standing in GNC with my arms crossed watching the people walk back and forth in the mini-mall and some girl walks by and gives me the 'head-to-toe' look and catches my eye and raises her eyebrows and keeps eye contact until she's out of sight.

I like it when I'm in my gym and I get that glazed eyed smile from a girl I've never met.

I will agree that there are a lot of people on here that worry me a bit with their dosages, but I only expect to be judged for what I am, not lumped into any categories, because as a 19 year old, I certainly do not fit easily into any paradigm model for teenagers.

What offended me about buksoon's post was the condecending tone of it, she was not looking to get a valid answer, but looking to critisize and make fun of people...and stating that she prefers a skinny guy as opposed to a muscular one. Talk about ego, as if anyone here cares an iota about what she prefers in a man, somehow I have a feeling that even she secretly fantasizes about a man with chiseled abs and swollen pecs.

This board is the largest of it's type on the net, therefore we've got the most kids, the most idiots...go to anabolicfitness.net and you will see a group of very intelligent, very dedicated, very knowledgeable individuals, who fit MY personal ideal of the 'modern juicer.'
 
yeah....i think its overlooked as its no one of those things that doesnt get front page news

and the fact its not been surveyed/psych analysis/liver biopsy's yada yada yada means its incredibly hard to define....like frack said some might see someone as being to big, others might not.....a lot of its in the eye of the beholder, which is why if the media persists in using a phrase they need to actually have a medical defnition for it :)

Note that I am not a bodybuilder and could care less about being one. My first workout at 152lbs...I benched 95lbs with help, could not squat the smith machine bar, and could not do the sled on the leg press. I'm a little stronger now.

I've dated skinny guys and big guys and in my experience, the skinny ones were the ones with the hangups. I almost married one and he was the most possessive, abusive, irrational, jealous jerk I've ever met. They skinny guys I've dated always walk around like they have to prove something..

Now, the big guys AHHHHH, laid back, fun, self- confident and very supportive- emotionally, physically and spiritually. Plus they make good pillows.

As far as what you just said above buksoon, it has absolutely nothing to do with AAS. In the 2 years I have been training, I have done exactly 1 ten week cycle.

Now as far as feeling 'disgusting,' here's the deal. I like to feel strong, pumped, it is a feeling I have grown to love as my reward post-workout. I feel pumped right now, as today was chest day, and I'm not on AAS.

Here is something you may not have known:

Everyone has "issues." Everyone has insecurities and things they are not confident about, everyone also has confidence in other aspects of themselves.

Bodybuilding for me is something I love, it is my passion. I do it because I have a burning desire to reach a goal, and once I reach that goal, I want to reach a new goal. My longtime goal was to be 205 lbs. at under 10% bf. Well I have reached that goal, and I have set a new one for myself. One PART of my 'personal arsenal' to reach that goal is AAS. It is only a part, but for some reason you seem to be totally focused on that...

I suggest you cease being critical of me. I honestly believe that you have a myriad of issues yourself that should be worked on before you come on this board attempting to poke fun at 95% of it's members.

Where do you draw the line with vanity?

Makeup?
Extensions?
Implants?
Push-up Bras?
Elevator Shoes?

Acrylic Nails?
Hair Color?

Obviously, you can't put acrylic nails and hair color in the same category as implants or a nose job, but still what is the purpose?

Now, we could all say that A/S should only be for professional athletes or professional models, etc... but how do you think they GOT THERE?

You said that it was OK for powerlifters to use because their sport required it. Why?

Once one gets to higher levels of competitive bodybuilding A/S use or some form of chemical assistance is NECESSARY!! YES, IT IS! So many competitors say they are "natural" because they have not used anabolics, but they have use clenuterol and novaldex and diuretics..... so, is this NATURAL?!.... or is it JUST LEGAL?!

For God's sake!.... what the fuck is natural about moving ever increasing poundages simply to manipulate the size and shape of your muscles?! HELLO?!

I have to ask buksoon why she works out at all...because she seems to have a problem looking at "juice" as it really is, just a TOOL to further progress for an athlete...the core issue would be why do I work out, not why do I juice...there are plenty of juicers who are tiny and ripped, and happy about it, and plenty of naturals who are huge, and can't stand there self-percieved tiny size.

I have NEVER made fun of ANYONE'S PHYSICAL APPEARANCE unless they ASKED for a verbal beating FIRST.....And even then, I have passed on many occasions.

I used to be very skinny.. over-trained and lived on ice-cream (was lactose intolerant so it all went through me).... I was the "envy" of 99% of the women at the gym and had no trouble getting masculine attention. But I WAS NOT SATISFIED - NOR WAS I HEALTHY!

I am not talking about any one ELSE - EXCEPT ME.

I STILL struggle to eat enough. I do not make the gains that I could if I did. I like to eat, but my appetite is not always sufficient to ingest all of the calories that I need to maintain and gain mass.

I had NO PROBLEM putting on some quality mass WITHOUT the use of A/S once I became educated about proper nutrition and proper rest and training. Am I Ms Fucking O?! HELL NO! Am I completely satisfied with my physique? No.. there is always room for improvement. Do I feel the need to have arms like Vicky Gates? Even if I had the drive and genetics and knowledge - I WOULD NOT. But that does not mean that I do not admire the accomplishments that she has made as a woman and as an athlete!

Buksoon did come off very holier than thou and it just rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

PS -

Strength is not only measured by the girth of one's arms or legs you know!

True strength comes from the inside: character, discipline, loyalty, honor...... the external appearance is USUALLY just a reflection of these MOST IMPORTANT internal measures of strength.

There is an unspoken bond of respect and trust and brother/sisterhood between true bodybuilders, whether they compete or not. NOT ALL possess the inner strength - but MOST THAT I HAVE COME ACROSS DO.

The simple question of the thread is why do you juice? I can only speak for myself. I am not defending myself...just answering the question. I use for strength first. I am a comptetive powerlifter...and I choose to lift in untested events. I also use for asthetic reasons...though to a lessor degree. NOT for women persay...just to feel better about myself. To feel comfortable in my skin so to speak.

BOTTOM LINE: I do it because Life is Short...do what makes you happy...it will be over soon. In my opinion, which is only valid for me, my AAS use allows me to enjoy a higher quality of life....without compromising the quantity of my life....as long as I make intelligent decisions regarding my useage.

but just because of that does not mean you cannot be humble, and it does not mean that where a person goes to school or what they study makes them any less or more worthy.

i got into some of the top schools for my masters in art... but i couldn't go to them because of money. does that mean where i went eventually, or where i'm doing my design studies now are any less valuable? i don't believe so.

my field is just as important as yours... imo. and i'm damn good at what i do too, a different kind of intelligence in fact.

i don't think that having a master's (which i never finished incidentally because i decided to go into design) is necessarily indicative of intelligence... i sadly know a lot of dumbasses with master's degrees in various fields.

that said, i don't know that i think buksoon really does feel that way. she pissed me off, quite frankly, the first time i encountered her on this board. however, i have gotten know her since then and she is an interesting person.

Never knew I was so disliked on the board. I have been keeping up with this post since it has been up, because I was interested in what everyone had to say. I personally don't have anything against someone using juice if they are smart about it. It is a personal preference and you can only accept that. Putting people down doesn't change their minds or make the situation any better. The fact that my name was brought up hurts, but I guess it is hard to handle someone that isn't affraid to stand up behind their beliefs.
