Why do steroids mess up liver so bad?

I had a question on why steroids mess up are liver so bad

I ran a normal cycle for 10 weeks and I took a couple months off and my liver values are still elevated although they have come down a little bit from the peak

I was really surprised at how much damage I did

Oral steroids are modified to help pass through the first run with the liver... They are c17 alpha alkylated which causes the methylation, thus it will cause harm to your liver, kidneys, cholesterol etc...

oral and injectable steroids can hit the liver hard during the absorption process
so you need n2guard

Not sure where you got your data, but there are no articles that I can find in scientific journals.
NAC, on the other hand, has proven to reverse the effects of liver damage, used for liver transplants, reverse, and be used for alcoholics. Plus much more. There are tons of articles out there on NAC I. The scientific world.
