Why do internet sites claim steroids are ineffective .. ?

Hey guys,

I read this on a frequent number of sites that claim steroids to be ineffective after a certain age. Usually 20 - 21, where they say your receptors have a neutral effect to what steroids provide. However if this is true, then why the hell are pro athletes still getting a massive advantage using them. One clear example being wrestlers as their physique is the result of using roids. Is this just some fairytale anti-roid researchers are posting up to misguide the average weight-lifter enthusiast.

I mean obviously most of the users start late in their lives, when they get on that professional level. And I apologize if I wrote some shit that might be false to you gurus out there :rolly:

Im 20 years old btw. I can get them prescribed since I underwent surgery on my achilles tendon, and lost considerable amount of mass due to ligament lengthening in my right calve. But I am still confident I can workout and gain that lost amount of mass naturally. But if I get no results, I'll have to talk to my doctor about the anabolic ster. route.

Im very happy with my gains but my right leg has stunt its growth, mass wise after the surgery .... pretty damn unfortunate but I need to get this fixed eventually.

Just wanted to see a real opinion from people about this anti-roid crap. Obviously they like to misinform but I see no harm in it if done moderately.. as with any other medicine, it'll have its side effects. But one has to be wise with their usage.

well I am 40 and I have put 46 pounds on in 2 years and 2 cycles. If they dont work after the age of 21 or so I must be doing something right, lol.

Whoever said that don't know what they are talking about. I'm sure it was some 135 lb moron with no experience.

steroids where you have existing tendon issues--not a good idea---build the foundation (tend/ligs) then build the muscle or you end up with neither.
