Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I seen a couple last week in town, and when I went to the auction this morning there was a black guy that I have known for years that works for the auctioneer. He was wearing black jeans, and a heavy black sweatshirt(like the type you'd wear in winter). I almost passed out just looking at him as it was about 100F out. Why do they do this? I was to awestruck to ask him.

Im not black but I wear a sweater all year round. I am always cold. I barely ever turn my A/C on and I live in hot ass Florida. People look at me like I'm crazy wearing a sweater in 90 degree weather with 90% humidity.
Maybe they are always cold too. Maybe they have something to hide. Who knows.

I don't care what they wear, but the one's near me always walk in the middle of the road despite the fact that we have sidewalks on both sides of the street. They look at you like you're an ass if you blow your horn or try to run over them.

Obviously, you've done some thorough observation. If you had asked this question after having only seen 2 black men wearing sweaters in very warm weather, I would have questioned your conclusion. But since you witnessed 3 (THREE!) examples of such behavior, I think you're definitely on to something.

If not the sweaters then they wear those jumpsuits that are made out of heavy sweatpants material, the ones with the cargo pockets. I just assume it is a fashion thing. Blacks have a major thing with looking like rapstars videos, remember the oldschool rappers they wore Dickies and t shirts, and that was all you saw around the malls and shit, well now it is FUBU, Sean John and sports jerseys and a long silver chain with some emblem dangling on there stomachs and really, really, really clean shoes. I can't wait to see what is next, it is entertaining to me....

Just to get an understanding here, I wasn't trying to poke fun at anyone. It is a simple observation. I have not seen three (3) white people around here wearing clothes like that. Not even one (1).
As far as the body temp. thing I would think that there would be a point that this doesn't work. Maybe if I get bored later today ill dress up like that and stroll around in the sun and let you know how it goes.

there was just some fair deal here last week, and I saw 2 or 3 younger black males, probably 18-22, and they were wearing big baggy blue jeans, a wife beater, and one had a huge winter coat with the hood up, and the other had a big green vest on, made out of the shit you wear in antarctica or something. and it was 96 degrees out.

Let me add this one to the list. For the few who know I despise feet. The new thing in NYC is to wear sneakers without socks. In 90 degree heat.
