Who will beat Ronnie first?

I see Kevin Levrone the first one to overthrow Ronnie. But I don't think it's going to be for another year or two. Although Kevin is really confident this year he's going to win...
 
Kevin Levrone or Flex, either one has the potential. If Ronnie comes out like he did this year then he is for sure going to be overthrown.
 
Kevin Levrone is starting to look small. He needs to focus more on bodybuilding than his band. He just looks like he's losing size to me. If Lee Priest grows 6 inches in the next few months I think he could do it!!!

Ive heard that weider is PISSED in a bad way that ronnie did the arnold-if someone takes him, itll be levrone for sure. Also coleman is retiring this year so hell probably win this year and then retire
 
Chris Cormier looks amazing when he gets cut, like a statue or something. He is flex wheeler with more size. However, he is starting to look strange in the face lately, kind of unhealthy. THat is the thing about flex wheeler that distinguishes him from almost all these other guys. His face looks half normal.
 
Kevin Levrone has a very good shot... I can see it coming Ronnies slipping slowly his body can't keep up with all the stress much longer! But Kevin Levrone is looking very solid. As for Flex hes up their but I just don't know! Maybe Jay Cutler, not!! In 8 years when all the vets are dead! ;)

Has anyone seen ferigno lately???! He got some fucked up platic surgery to make him look like he is 12 years old or something. He got a nose job, his jaw and chin reduced and his eyebrows lifted. NO SHIT! I think its the influence of his crazy wife or something. I mean the guy has this little pug nose now, its really messed up.
 
The only one that can beat Ronnie is Ronnie.As long as he doesn't try to get bigger and continues to refine,he will not lose.
 
Everybody is saying Levrone, which I think he's is awesome and he might be the one but King Kamali is going to make an impact within five years he just may be Mr. O. His attitude and stage performance kicks ass. He's a cocky dick but then again he's got alot of class he's going to stir some shit up.
 
King Kamali or Cormier. I don't think that Coleman will lose though, he'll retire first.

Weider is an ass....you can't compete in any shows but mine (cry baby) what is trying to be the Don King of BB.

And trying to make it an Olympic sport at the same time, as long as he can pick the winner. What BS

Greg Kovacs is just a monster. He has no physique, he's just a blob of muscle. He made a guest appearance last year where i work. yeah, he is a big mofo... also a big prick, and da judges dont like that. it's all about the politics baby
 
I think Ronnie will win this year and seeing as hes gonna be 40 pretty soon I think this will be his last. anyways, I gotta go with Deppnade cuz I think Cuttler is gonna be the man to beat!

Cutler is a big guy and I like him but there is NO way he will ever be Mr.O His muscles are too blocky.

Cutler sucks?? please man, ya know I used to think he sucked ass for a long time. But, he has improved sooo much over the past 2 years. Id never thought he'd win the Night of the Champions but he did and deserved to win. I'll bet on it that he at least makes the top 6 at this years mr O. I got a chance to meet him at the Arnold and im tellin ya hes gonna do some dange in the next few years....cuz i think hes only 28 or 29. Personally I dont like the way cormier looks and i think Cutler is better then him (and a lot of other guys)...but like i said its all opinion here
 
I hope somebody new can explode onto the scene, like a second-coming of Arnold.

On a sidenote: I hate that King Kamali faggot. I hate his posing routine. It's good to be different, but I think he gets too much credit for his routine, and not enough for his physique.
 
It would be nice if Joe Weider would "allow" Shawn Ray to win it at least once. He's been screwed so much in the past.

i agree w/you,shawn has gotten alot lower placing than what he deserved.mabe not win but yeah he should place higher.
 
it'll come down to levrone or cormier to win if ronnie slips.

priest wont get it....ever.
cutler may if he can hang in the game, but his look is all wrong for a mr olympia. so probably no.
shawn ray has stirred up too much shit in the past to win.

the less politics these guys get involved in, the better they will fare.

I know he won't topple Ronnie anytime soon but I think Dennis James is gonna be the man in the future.

Look at him...he's got the symmetry to place high in the symmetry rounds but he's also got the frame carry huge amounts of muscle.

And the fucked up part is that he's only been a pro since '99. Trust me, watch Dennis James in the future...
 
if you think about it there is a bunch of guys that are right below ronnie and when it comes down to it, if ronnie comes out under par anyone one of these men can take him if they are in top shape

3. marcus
4. dennis james

they are all awsome but they all have their one or 2 faults which prevent them from taking ronnie

Markus Ruhl will never get there...He doesn't have the symmetry which is 90% genetics.

Greg Kovacs. One word: Please :splat:

Levrone...Reminds me of Cormier's physique. Something's missing...It's like he has Flex Wheeler's size and Ronnies symmetry. Nothing to scoff at, but not Mr. O quality.

Maybe Chris Cormier...needs a little more overall size in my opinion and needs to come in just a tad sharper...Something's missing. Give him time, he may do it.

Dennis James...Too early to tell. He still needs work. He looks so much better (but soft) about 4 weeks out. He needs a little more size and fullness when he competes. I don't see him as a Mr. O.


OK now for my personal favorite (besides Ronnie himself- who is currently the best in my opinion.)


JD Dawodu...Before you laugh, I said the same thing about Ronnie in late 96/early 97. I had no idea that it would be that soon (Oct. 98), but I just liked the way he looked...And in less than 2 years, the judges did too. :cool: I don't see JD actually making headway in the near future unless he gets a Weider contract though.

Ronnie's never been as symmetrical as flex, but for his size, nobody even comes close (as far as symmetry).

Flex can't play Ronnie's game...He knows that now. I was recently looking at pics of him in the 93 arnold...He weighed 218 and looked 10x better than he did last year at 246...striationes everywhere...full and dry at the same time. He looked spectacular. I don't know if he could ever get there again but if he can, Ronnie had better look out.

I'm sorry, but I really think Marcus Ruhl has an ugly physique...Definitely a big boy that comes in good condition, but that's all I can give him. His delts are so wide it makes his front lat spread look like shit, his triceps look terrible sitting next to those cannonball delts...I don't think his huge biceps help with that problem either. I just think he's too much of a mass monster and just doesn't have the symmetry to be any threat to the "prettier" physiques of Kevin, Ronnie, Chris C., Dexter, Dennis J., etc.
 
I see MAJOR cahnges this year in regards to judging and where we go from here. This year mass will NOT beat quality. On that note look for Shawn Ray to take home the Olympia. Big guts are becoming an eye sore and this will be done to reestablish the sport and set the standard.

3. Ronnie ( unless he retires)
4. Flex (he will retire)
5. Lee Priest

AJC brings up a great point. In regards to my answer if Flex goes abck to what he is best at he would take it. Trust me they will set the tone this year.
 
Competitors Markus Ruhl is why bodybuilding is viewed as a freak show by the general public. Just another reason "normal people" can't relate to the pro game.

Hell, I'm as hardcore as they come, and even I can't realte to physiques like his, Kovaks, Fux, etc.

Guys like Ray, Wheeler, Ernie Taylor, Dexter Jackson, Cormier, and Melvin Anthony offer something that still looks a little more "human."

I honsetly don't know of too many people that want to look like Ruhl or Kovaks. JMO...
 
Lol at this thread. Jay Cutler almost won Ronnie in 2001, so how in the hell some can say that "Jay sucks". Remember, after compulsory round, Jay had a one point lead to Coleman in 2001. :rolleyes: Jay Cutler will win Mr. Olympia. Maybe not next year, but eventually he will win the fucking Sandow next to his fireplace.
 
jay cutler, gunter scheilerkamp(sp?) both have a great shot. both have made great improvements every year/both have great fan support/ and both are now weider sponsored. my prediction ronnie loses to jay at the olympia.then its jay/gunter for the next couple of years. i do wish levrone would win one though.
