Well, I will tell you what! you can make a study lean anyway you want. How many times have you heard that milk is good for you, just to hear scientist argue that it is bad for you. think of how many times you hear how great something is for you and then a new "study" comes out to disprove that theory. Mary J is not dangerous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"We also don't know if the drugs in question are the exact reason for the emergency room visit, or if in fact these drugs were simply used by the patients"

exactly!....i just dont see weed causing more accidents than all but 2 of those...bullshit. may be in alot of ppl's system when they get there but that dont mean they got stoned had an accident...theres just too many variables in a case like this.

Anything not used in moderation... including moderation...

Now excuse me while I go shoot a G of test, snort 90 OC's, wash it down w/a bottle of Jack and hit the hay w/a blunt....

'night all! :rasta: :drink2: :frackal:

That's what I was gonna say.
This study is useless IMO. More users = More admittance/visits.

I didn't read the whole article but I have NO IDEA why they would cite that "study."

It is observational nonsense with no significant factual conclusions to be drawn whatsoever.

Interesting to say the least bro. I am surprised that coke is after pot? It really must be because of the numbers. Waaaay more pot smokers than coke heads.

I have only been to the hospital because of shrooms. I was in highschool and super fubar'd, not to metion I smoked a gram of hash ... but the shrooms really threw me over. Had to get my stomach pumped at the hospital ... i have never tripped out so bad in my life. Aahhh the good ol days.

Ever since then my only trips to the hospital were because of physical injury.

well, i think they're accurate. i used to work in ER and there was way more people coming in complaining of panic attacks with weed then there was coke heads complaining of something. Why? most people try pot FIRST and lots get panicked. Most don't try coke for the first time, by the time you use coke it's likely you've worked your way up to it and you've got at least some drug experience. So, people who come into ER with coke or heroin in them are usually overdosed and overdoses are much rarer than panic attacks. Same goes for tylenol, most people when they wanna OD grab the most available thing...well who doesn't have tylenol? Alcohol is easy, almost everybody drinks. either with weed, coke, etc....and alcohol is soooo bad when combined with any meds. it sometimes warrants a visit to the ER

I think the title of the study is inaccurate. Because someone ends up in the emergency room freakin out because they're stoned out of their mind doesnt mean that smoking pot put their life in danger. If I remember correctly it takes 40,000 times the amount it takes to get you high to kill you (THC). Thats why you hear of so many pot overdoses (not). I find it strange that it ranks so high on this list, but if its the truth then so be it.

I like how caffiene ranked fairly high. If someone gets on you about AAS use, get on them about their coffee use/abuse.
