Hey guys,

I've been reading this forum for a few months now, and I REALLY need a "food plan". I thought that I could come here, look around, and come up with my own.......but I was very wrong. There's so much information here, I don't know which to follow, and which not to.

I'm 17, 5'8, about 130 (I'm a stick :P). Recently got a membership at the Y gonna start trying to go at least 3 days a week. Maybe that'll help determine what/how much I should start eating. I'm living with single parent who most of the time is too exhausted to cook after working all day, so I usually end up going to Taco Bell or some other fast food restuarant for dinner. :o

Just wanted a general idea of what a day's meal plan should look like for me. For breakfast I noticed a lot of you eat oatmeal, I guess that's a start. What about lunch, dinner, and snacks in between? Any kind of supplements that I should take? I probably sound like an idiot, but I figured I had to start somewhere. ;)

well, you don't need to be super strict with your diet IMO b/c you are young, small, and just starting out. The better quality of food you eat however, the better your gains will be.

-Get your bodyfat tested, take in 1 gram of protien per pound of lean body mass, and eat the highest quality (no processed/prepackaged/fast-food) food possible.
-Be consistent! Try to eat the same amount of food each day through 4-6 good meals.. if that is hard for you, then working on your habbits will give you the best results, more than weightlifting.
-if you don't gain around a half pound per week, then slowly add calories to your diet with more food untill you do.

Personally, I got great results with Hypertrophy Specific Training and I reccomend it.

read through the site and read through the entire FAQ....read the info until you know it like the back of your hand. It is important that you WRITE DOWN your program/roadmap with this routine to eliminate all of the guesswork in the gym.

Good luck.

He hit the nail right on the head.

Remember consistancy is the most important part of starting out. Just be consistant and you will soar. :)
