When the kids knock on the door...

How does this go for you other parents?

My wife has gotten a lot better at this. Early in our marriage when one of the kids would knock or if there was a commotion she would want to stop and find out what was going on, resolve it, etc.

This morning my teenager knocked on the door at 7:30 because she got called in to cover for someone at her part-time job and needed the keys or a ride.

We were in the middle of a 69 and neither my wife nor I said a word for a while, then I shouted out where the keys were and she left.

We didn't miss a beat. :)

Our son is just coming up on 4 months so we are ok for awhile yet but Nicole does get distracted when she hears him cry.

Wait until he's able to walk in on the two of you. Mood killer.

I get this just about every night....we just tell them that daddy is changing (I have all girls) and we will be out in a minute.....then we just get down to business....hardest part for me is keeping my mouth shut while I am getting off....

its hard when you have small kids..mine are aged 7 to 1 and it sucks...we used to say that we were talking or whatever. But now with the 1 year old and the 2 year old it is hard to get any time away from either one....it was easier when they napped but my daughter has stopped napping....

Mine are 4, 6 and 8. I'm waiting for some questions one of these days...so far Sponge Bob keeps them entertained....

I can only imagine what a weekend getaway in the woods where no-one could hear-see-know we exist would be like. ;)

I love screamers :p . Pillows come in handy while doing doggy but it's hard to control in other positions.

GG we have learned to keep it down but there are still vents and we do get loud sometimes so the radio or tv is usually on in our room plus where the kids are.

Well, we have a little time yet to think up a few excuses but I am leaning towards saying 'Daddy was asking mummy lots of questions about horses but daddy couldn't hear mommy's answer so she had to say it a few times'.

... which would be the translation of 'YES, YES, YES you stallion, YES, YES, YES' :D

Still trying to figure out how to explain the nakedness and handcuffs.

The vent part is funny,.....my dad spends the night with us on thursday nights and we end up on the room with his hand over my mouth half the time lol

Sounds like hubby is taking care of business if you're getting it regular-like on Thursday nights. :)
