When is enough, enough

If I could get over my fear of stage fright and be able to look in the mirror and truley like what I see I think I would compete but for right now I am doing it for me to be able to overcome having a low self-esteem. I have never been overweight but have always dealt with being uncomfortable with my body for one reason or another.

I love my muscle and having more of it makes me feel better about my self, hell on what other people think.

I have some good features and some bad. maybee one day I can put the total package together.
:p

As for now I thrive on the pure rush of pushing the weights around it is what makes me happy.

Another thing is finding someone to guide me the right way to comp. I know it is a dog eat dog world and wouldn't want to jump into something too fast.

But between the cost of a personal trainer and even finding a good one in my area, I am limited.

And I am grateful for this board already.

I never thought about Powerlifting before I reached this board. But I think about it more and more everyday now. PL was all new to me when I came here so seeing some of those numbers kinda scared me:cold: Then I threw out the pink dumbells and started lifting serious. I really like the overall symmetry of BB but love the power of PL. So I think If I could convince my body to maintain both I would venture that way.

I don't know where I would train though. I don't know but I don't think we have many powerlifters around us.
