When I watch wrestling... why don't I ever see....

AAP

Plat Hero
Platinum
the dreaded taped thumb to the throat of the babyface when the heel has a side headlock applied? That is a move from my childhood.

And I miss the Oriental Spike as well. Nobody does that anymore.

What happened to the Heart Punch?

Watch Jeff Jarrett. He knows how to b a heel. He will stomp fingers, rake the eyes and the back... he does it all the way a good heel does.

do they ever do the Figure 4 any more?

Edge has a hella-cool standing figure-4 that looks tight.

Yeah sort of a reverse scorpion death lok.

Alcohol patch? shit why wear it where everyone can see it? I would wear it on my ass.

There is a match coming to dusty rhode's Turnbuckle Wrestling fed. It is a "survival" type match. Rhodes, Abdullah the Butcher, Terry Funk, and Kevin Sullivan. It must be sponsered by Red Cross because all four men are easy bleeders.

Did anyone love the clean pin Hogan had on the Rock last night?

And what about Angle slamming Big Show?

I was wondering about the patch too. Maybe it requires a relatively lean area for the transdermal agent to work properly.

Yep. Hogan had a clean pin. Talk about Bret Hart and wrestlemania - look for the thread I posted.

See then it wouldn't get any attention and I would guess that is why he wears it there. Its all about "show"

I'm glad they gave the NWO the clean pin. that's more realistic anyway.

and what's with booker T vs Edge in wrestlemania. I'd consider it a huge job if Book lost to Edge.

does anyone do the move with the laces across the eyes? or when they'd rub the guys face across teh ring rope?

Or how about when the DDT used to be a finisher? Ole Jake the Snake would get him in position, slap him on the back, and BANG, he's done. And then Damian would come out.

No one does a full neslon anymore either. That was the signature move of Billy Jack Haynes. I use to like him. You don't really see wrestlers coming to the ring in robes anymore either.

I miss the 5 minute armbar, although I expect we'll see some of that when Nash gets back in the ring.

OMG he totally sucks. All he does is that stupid elbow in the corner or the high knee in the corner. he sucks ass.

I thought Ken Patera did that move also.

I don't remember. I'm not saying Billy Haynes was the only one who did it. I'm just saying no one does it now. I for some reason never liked Ken Patera. Althouh I like Kurt Angel and I think he's usign Ken Patera's old music. I also think Butch Reed used the full nelson too.

The Great Hercules Hernandez used the full nelson as a finishing move. Who remembers when he applied it to Hogan until he passed out. Then Hernandez invented the backbreaker that Luger stole and called the Torture Rack. Only thing was Hernandez would hoist them up, Crank it tight, then drop to one knee to give them a jar to the spine and then work it furiously.

Nash sucks. He can't even step over the ring rope anymore. No wonder he isn't showcased at Wrestlemania. Must have been a group deal or something. At least Hogan is in shape. What a victory over the Rock.

No one could apply the DDT like Roberts. Michael Hayes has the second best DDT. Remember when Roberts was arrested in Daytona for beating that man in the bar and DDT'ing him?

Also, Eddie Guerro was fired from WWF for a DUI charge.

Arn Anderson had the best spinebuster in the business. NO one uses that for a fininshing move anymore.

And one more thing.....

Did anyone see Lanny Poffo on one of Tony Little's "Gazelle" ads? Was I halucinating?

And speaking of that, why don't you ever see Tony Little and Chris Jerico in the same place at the same time?

I thought Brainbusters were banned in WWF. Al Snow used one when he beat Golddust last night.

I think Al Snow did a snow-plow last night...it is his finisher. I think J.R is just senile. A brainbuster is more like a suplex, where you hold the opponent straight up in the air and then hammer his head down...Saturn brought it back for a while, and Chavo Jr. was using it in WCW near the end.

As for the NWO clean pin, it only means that Rocky is going to kick old man Hogie's ass at WM. I think it sucks, the NWO needs to kick ass for a few months, once Rocky wins its kinda dead. Maybe they will bring in some interference ala Big Poppa Pump or something.

the reason why it was a clean pin was because it was a 2 on 3 match. otherwise the whole NWO story would have been finished. But you're right, I expect some interference from Vince, maybe even Shane.... it's been a while since that jackass has been seen. And look for Brett Heart, or the Ultimate Warrior, or Goldberg to make the save.

I think one of the funniest things I've seen in wrestler ever was when Bobby Heenan sold Hercules to The Million Dollar as a slave. When Hercules asked what was going on Heenan said, "Shut up slave!"
