When did you guys start shaving?

7th grade? That's pretty early. For me, it was the summer after 9th grade. I was 15.

Of course I started shaving other body parts much later, but that's a different thread ;-)

hey ive got a question..

i dont have much facial hair and would like to encourage it to grow (somehow) so that i can experiment with different looks.

any idea how i can get it to grow more?
btw im 22yo now.

As far as I know, beyond genetics and your family traits, shaving often encourages growth. I have often gone without shaving to try to slow it down.

I dont remember too well

somewhere in high school

I shave about once a week. The stubble makes me look better.

I had to start dealing with embarrassing dark fuzz on my face when I was about 16, but couldn't really grow a proper beard until I was at least 21. I had a long, drawn-out puberty; I got pubes and massive genital growth when I was 13, then nothing else noticeable happened for a long time except for some growth in height. It was as if my entire allocation of testosterone for puberty got used up by the stuff between my legs, leaving nothing for the rest of my physical development.

I'm not a hairy guy, although with androgens that is changing somewhat. I have more hair on my chest and stomach than I used to, my beard is thicker, the hair on the back of my neck is slowly creeping forward to where it looks like it's going to join my beard, and there are some outcroppings on my back and shoulders that weren't there before too. I think it's funny, I'm 49 years old and puberty still hasn't finished.
