wheat gluten base cereals???

What do you guys think of those low carb cereals? I'm looking at Total Protien by General Mills. Its made out of a lot of wheat gluten, is that stuff any good? Sounds like just a low quality protien, but if its going to help with my cereal cravings, then it might be worth it. Its 2.5 fat/8carbs/14pro per serving. Anyone tired this stuff?
 
Most people get gas and become bloated from gluten, some people are highly allergic to it. I think its bad... beans, oatmeal, rice, don't contain much gluten and they are alway the suggested cutting carbs.
 
gluten is an ingredient in wheat. im allergic to it. so i cant eat anything that has wheat, modified corn starch or any thickener.

can you eat oatmeal? I always thought oatmeal didn't have much gluten in it thats why it was not use (oats) to make bread.
 
Hmm I seem to be one of the lucky ones that can eat gluten without getting bloated or gas. I usually binge out and cheat on cereal when I'm cutting hard. So by eatting gluten base cereals, im hoping to cut out some of those carbs. Just going to try it out and see how that works. Anything else I should know about the stuff before I start pounding it on my cheat days?
