what's your squat and vertical jump?

hey everyone....

Thought that it would be nice to see how much pure strength contributes to a person's vertical jump, as im sure others are too. Nothing speaks better then cold, hard stats. Enjoy!

Just copy and paste, or add more if you want as well.

Height: 6'0
Weight: 165 (all in pounds)
Squat: 220 1RM (one rep max)
Vertical: 24-26 inches

Strength Ratio: 1.3 (squat divided by weight)

Uh, I don't think you dunk volleyballs, man. That's basketball.

Nope, I dunk volleyballs. I can't palm a basketball so I can't dunk it. I can palm a volleyball so I can dunk that. Plus, since it's smaller you don't have to jump as high.

height: 6'1 (185.5cm)
weight: 83kg
squat: 150kgx3
standing vertical jump: 30-31"
strength ratio: 1.8 x bw for a triple

running two foot vert was much better, I almost maxed out on elastic components (26% above vert, kelly baggett says around 30% is top), touched 11'1" over with a reach of 242cm (I posted it as 237cm before I was wrong)

training for longers distances now & the best I can muster at the moment is 29" & 34"..............

Crappy and shitty.

height: 6'2"
weight: 240 lbs
squat: 385 lbs
vertical: no idea

I can grab the basketball rim from a standing vertical - but have never measured.

.................

*but im working on it*

6'3 185
squat - ~200
vertical jump in sand - 28-30
vertical jump on hard court - 34-36

6'
175 lbs.

ATF squat: 365 lbs.
...well I squat 195 lbs. 16 times, so I'm guessing around 365.

vertical: I can almost hang on the rim, so maybe 24 in.???

do you ever go over 195? when you squat?

I use to stay in the 225 range. i would do
135 for 15 warm up..
225 for 10 warm up.
225 for 20
225 for 20
finish with 185 as many as i could.. at least 20..
and i was suprised at my max being 315..
to lift heavy U have to work out with heavy weight.. :) but you may already now that...

My max squat right now is probably a paltry 250 atf.

5'8.5"
205lbs

Running vertical is around 28-30" depending on if it was a good hop or not. Standing still I have no clue.

I measured it out that I would need a 34" vertical to grab rim.

That's gonna happen and I'll weigh more when it does.

6'0
187lbs

Squat 280lbs for 10.. 4 sets. 345lbs for 5... 4 sets

Never done a one rep max.

Vertical leap was 38in last time I got it measured. Can easily dunk a basketball.

I'm 6'2, 225 pounds, and can surprisingly touch the rim no problem. Squating, I can do 315 5 times, but I dont know what my max is.

Actually, about 2 weeks ago I went up in weight to see where I was. I put on 315 and went up 2 times without a whole lot of effort. I just assumed a couple extra 25's would be the kicker.

im
6'2" with a standing reach of about 8'10" or so' lol
250 lbs

no idea what my max squat is (cant do them safely in cramped basement)

but i can get up and grab the rim with one hand but not two
pretty crappy i cant jump for nothing
hopefully i can dunk when i drop alot of bodyfat
im still chubby as hell and got fat titties :(
