I now realize I forgot about Satellite, el cubano. I guess bother other than you I've only know one person to have it. He lived out in the boonies where his options where also limited. But I am slightly surprised with how many people have satelite and with how few have dial up.

Thanks for the responses.

DSL. Want t1 very badly but a way to costly. I would get frame relay if the installation cost was a little less than 8k! t1 would be a little much for my 5 computer network but would be fun for denial of service attacks.

why do you want T1? its like 1.4Mbps. dsl is usually 600Kbps. here in the sticks cable is about 800Kbps on average.

because when I get 3 or 4 of my computers gaming or or transmitting alot of data at once even 650 download and 120 upload slows down a good bit whereas if i had a t1 stuff would be alot smoother.

Cable, but thinking about switching to DSL and having my damn 105 a month cable bill irradicated. I don't watch that damn TV anyway. The DSL would only be 49 more on my phone line, cut the bill in half. Save money for more important things, like test!

Only curious if DSL compares to cable in downloading and speed

out of curiosity, does that 105 cover cable tv & cable internet or just internet? when i move to bloomington (a college town) they want like $80 for DSL.

if cable tv is so expensive why not try a descrambler. they are $80 at ebay.

aside from that, how have you been. how is the moving & the new job working out.

Cable..whooo hooooo!!!

B True

The 105 includes digital cable tv (which sux ass), Showtime (which sucks ass harder) and my modem. The only damn thing I use is the modem. The least I could get away with would be the modem and basic cable, churning up 74 bucks for both. The DSL is suppose to be only 49 and I do use my phone some.

I have the whole Internet on my hard drive. Makes everything load much faster and its very fast when I download from KaZaA. Despite this, however, EF is still mega slow. Maybe I ran out of disk space.
