whats' your bench?

any hoot, what's your current bench? do you lift RAW or equipped? what equipment do you use? and what's your goal? I'll go first...

bench:505 (currently)
lift equipped
using titan fury(500) and double-denim(500+)
goal: 600

tb
 
That vid definately makes you want to hit the gym and move some weight. I did 415 at 217 b.w. in an Inzer single ply poly over a year ago. I'm a good 25 pounds heavier now and a bit stronger. I'd like to lift in another bench only meet at the turn of the year. Hopefully, my numbers will shoot up. I'm putting much faith in Karin's dd for that. :D Oh yeah, Inzer sucks!
 
450 no equipment. (See recent pr thread) Bdwt 260.... 475 or more by new years (or ~12 weeks) 500 after that. Nice lifts posted here.

my wife just started hitting some weights- she wants to hit 135x1 by new years (she will outbench half the dudes in the gym if she does) she is at 65x10 now
 
i did 315 back in august, but i dont know what i could do now. that was raw, wrist wraps only with a pause.

hoping to get over 365 by the years end, now that i realized my weakness and im bringing it up.

when i get a shirt, i hope to be able to hit at least 405 first time in one, my bday is jan 4th, im hoping my family will buy me a shirt......... hint cheesecake, puttibuttin, and trinity!!!

you sound like my training bros. i just forget to do it on those heavy reps :confused:

too many years of that strict BB'er style bench. after reading about legdrive & arching, after i get 405 i think i'll scrap the old style convert to a PL'er style. :p

that is the crazyiest stuff i ever heard!- I just don't want to read a post about you falling off the bench one day
 
505 unequipped about 6 months ago, now I am struggling to get 345 for sets of five...don't ever assume that your abs and core don't play a major role in every lift
 
I don't ever max-out but my best now is 255 for 7, so probably around 300 or so, raw of course with a closer grip than most.
 
Last time I flat benched, I got 275x1 raw and ugly:D, and I think I've done 225x3 incline.

Inclines are all I do now.

Even though you guys would probably be pretty supportive and all, I can not disclose the amount I bench. maybe in a few years when I grow a pair.

just to clear things up....RAW is benchin with wrist wraps and belt. EQUIPPED is with wrist wraps, belt, and bench shirt.

brotha..your not weak...everyone has to start somewhere and benchin 240 at 170 is nothin to laugh at!! twice your bodyweight is 340..only 100lbs to go!! tb

i lifted today and got a PR of 3x6@175 on bench.
sometime within the next few weeks ill be giving 235-240 a try. hope i get it!

When I say RAW I meant no belt or wraps either. Should I use a belt or wraps Brute? My incline is real close to my flat also, and seems If I trained it equally it would be stronger. My incline is at 275X9 225X20 315X2 and 335X1 Havent given a real good max attempt yet though =)
 
I got a kid in my gym named John Werner. he weighs in at a steller and crisp 270 and is built like a big ol farm boy... no gear at age 14 tripled 335 with a shirt that was to big he did 405 for 2x3 look the fuck out!!!!!!!! 450 by nov 1st and onto 500

My best 760 IPA

i have done 315x5, 275x10 and 225x17 in the past few months. not all in one day of course :)

I switched to incline,the most ive ever done on there was 295x1, and 225x12.

that's one amazing kid.

as for me, i just started WSB-like training, and my bench is only 235. But it's going up. Plan to bench > 250 by january 1st
 
325 raw @ 190

6'1", 19 years old

I use a bodybuilding routine for my whole body...I don't really train for all out strength, I just use 4-6 reps. If I want to hit twice my bodyweight I might have to start training like a powerlifter...
 
wow...the fuckin freaks are comin out on this post!!!! oh and elbows wraps do help on the bench press if you have bad shoulders...keep them comin!! tb

315 almost touched in a shirt...locked it out ok
225 triple in a shirt

not too shabby for a chick......

tested on monday, its embarrising, 245, couldnt hit 265. I guess thats the downside of losing 15 pounds.
 
I haven't maxed (or even done flat bench) since June, so I have no idea... I'm hoping it's up to 240 or 245. In June it was 225 raw but I felt like I had more.

Welcome! Your not too far from a world record. 405 was the best last I heard, but maybe its outdated. Your stronger then 99% of most guys though, so thats worth alot! Keep it up.

I know that feeling. Trust me it will come back fast. Just gotta be consistent and eat enough. Dont ever skip a week of chest haha Ive learned the hard way :D
