A Los Angeles judge has ordered former teen star Amanda Bynes, recently charged with two counts of hit and run, off the road after reports that she was seen driving around town recently though her license is under suspension.
Bynes’ license was suspended Aug. 25 by the California Department of Motor Vehicles, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed to ABCNews.com.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered Bynes on Wednesday not to drive without a valid driver’s license, the court confirmed to ABCNews.com. Revel was the judge who sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 90 days in jail in 2010 after she violated her probation from a DUI charge.
Bynes’ next hearing is set for Sept. 21, although she does not have to appear in court because her charge is only a misdemeanor, the D.A.’s office said.
Bynes has had several driving incidents in the last few months. The most recent occurred on Sept. 9 when the actress was pulled over by Los Angeles police for driving without her lights on, the Los Angeles Times reported.
A rep for Bynes did not respond to ABCNews.com’s request for comment.
She was charged earlier this month with two misdemeanor counts of hit and run after allegedly crashing into a car and fleeing the scene twice in the span of five months.
The first hit-and-run occurred on April 10, according to the complaint filed in Los Angeles. The second happened Aug. 4. Bynes is scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment on Sept. 27. The charges carry a maximum sentence of six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine for each count.
In June, she was charged with driving under the influence after an April 6 arrest, in which she was accused of sideswiping a police car while attempting to make a right-hand turn. She allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer or drug test at the scene of the accident.
After her lawyer pleaded not guilty on her behalf at the June hearing, Bynes took to Twitter to enlist the help of … President Obama.
“I don’t drink,” she wrote in a tweet addressed to @BarackObama. “Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.”

Can anyone sympathize with her "tough celebrity millionaire life"? That's got to be what's causing her to pull a Lindsay, no? Call me a square but these young stars need better guidance, especially after being in the spotlight, because lately chances are they'll just fuck things up if it's left up to them.
