What's the best piece of advice you've ever received

To always try my best and make sure that whatever goals I set, I am doing it for ME and not for anyone else.

"Ask questions" - this one in particular for me because I have a tendency to try and figure too much out on my own at the cost of efficiency in what I am trying to accomplish.

"never settle" - that's from mom, regarding the men I date.

"It doesn't matter if you falter or have setbacks...as long as you're still facing the right direction." - dad, regarding my recovery from an ED

OK OK I know bad joke. But man It was eating away at me for hours. I love you honey you know that. :heart::heart:

Ask questions is a great one. I need to do a lot more of that.

#1 - my mother taught me - DO UNTO OTHERS.....if you want to be treated well, you BETTER treat others well.

#2 - my husband Shawn AKA FUTURE (he'll be here soon) taught me - who cares what everyone else is doing, just do your thing and do the best you can do for you!

"You can train long, or you can train hard, but you cannot do both, and it just so happens that training hard is what builds bigger muscles."

-Mike Mentzer

"I don't give a shit what my parents think..., I don't give a shit what your parents think..., and I don't give a shit what any of our friends think. All I care about is what YOU and I think, because 30-40 years from now, when all of this shit is over, the dust settles, and everyone else is gone..., its just going to be me and you standing there at the end, and all we are going to have is each other..., and I wouldn't want it any other way."

-Me to my Wife :heart::heart::heart::heart:

You can only have what you allow yourself to dream
The harder the journey, the greater the reward

Another good piece of advice I got was someone inviting me to read the book "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coelho. The book, other than simply being a tremendous book, reminded me (and comforted me) in why I do what I do and why all my sacrifices are worth it! It also reminded me that if I didn't believe in myself and what I can do, than who would?...
