What's chaeper than eggs?

It's gotten to the point where eggs are too expensive for me. I went from fresh salmon, to canned salmon, to protein powder and then eggs.

I'm eating anywhere from 20-30 eggs a day. Sometimes more if I don't feel like eating powder.

Is there anything out there that gives the most protein for the buck? I was thinking about getting whole chickens or even whole turkeys.

The eggs I currently get are $5.75 for a 60 pack. It works out to about .10 an egg and $1.00 for 35g protein(egg whites only).

You can add some yolks too you know... milk in powder mixed with liquid milk, ground beef, yes whole chicken too.

Why not just buy boneless/skinless chickenbreast on sale? Right now a supermarket near me has boneless/skinless chicken breast on sale for $2.81 a pound. One pound of chicken breast roasted has 140 g. of protein (which works out to be $0.70 for 35 g and IMO chicken tastes a helluva lot better than egg whites). Plus you can get creative with spices without adding calories or fat. If you go for whole birds then you're going to get even lower prices (but you do pay for bones).

If you join up with a warehouse store or something you can probably beat that price.

Eggs are certainly not the cheapest protein source and it seems sinful to throw all those yolks away.
