What you think about the "401" technic?

Hello!

I was woundering of what you think about the "401" techinc. For me "401" is 4 sec to go down and 1 sec to go up. It supposed to broke more fiber in the muscle and then to be better.

What you think?

I use a pretty slow eccentric and explosive concentric for a shock once in a while, but I wouldn't recomment it every single workout.

I use to do really slow eccentrics, but when I started focusing on strength I disregarded the negative like a virus. I move it slow enough to have control the entire time and keep good form. Other than that, nothing matters to me except the explosion up.

I've been religiously studying philosophy for about 8 years now, and after disecting the minds of the world's greatest thinkers and spending countless hours reflecting on the ultimate nature of reality, I have come to one profound, enlightened conclusion....

Its all about that upward explosion:havoc:

I wouldn't recomment it every single workout.

Well b/c a 4 second eccentric phase would be considered a negative which is really just an advanced(well kinda) technique that you shouldn't do on every set or even every workout and could lead to overtraining. I would say most people take about 2-3 seconds(a little more or less depending on which exercise), so 4 seconds isn't too bad, but its still just a shock technique.
