I don't even know what the commercial is for but it shows an old red? convertible going down a desert highway. It sounds almost like Johnny Cash's voice but it's more rockabilly'ish.

Some of the lyrics are "See me driving down the street" and "Cause I'm a punkrocker, yes I am"

I haven't see the commercial you mentioned but I did a search and this is what came up in Yahoo Answers: "IF you're referring to the Cadillac commercial where it starts off with a really old one, and they change every few seconds to progressively newer ones (HELLA cool song, IMHO), it's called "Punkrocker" by the Teddybears (featuring Iggy Pop) from the album, "Soft Machine"."

Another suggested it could have been some Billy Idol song.
