For glutes I use 23 gauge 1.5 inch.. Pecs, Bi, delt and quads get a 25 gauge 1 inch.. Smooth……….

You mentioned pain avoidance - try warming up the oil with a hairdryer prior to jabbin yourself to make the oil go in easier.

I agree. Although I think you can get away with 1" to the glute if you go all the way in and are using < 2ml
