What percentage of bulking weight will be fat?

Cut

I'm currently an endo, 5'6" , 154lbs male, and really needs to put on some mass. I do a 5X5 routine for 4 days a week, and HIIT for 2 days. From next week I plan to eat a 50(P)15(C)35(F) diet and hopefully gain about 1lb a week. I will do this till Jan 1st, and so with any luck gain about 12lbs. My question is how much of this would be lean muscle, and how much would be fat? Could I aim for 2lbs a week or would this be too much. It's taken me along time to lose my excess bodyfat, so I want to do this properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, what would be the best way to tell if I am putting on fat, should I go by measurements to my waistline? I have a bodyfat scale but I'm not convinced of it's accuracy.

i'd say as long as you're eating cleanly most of the time, not over feeding calories way too much (a 500 surplus your requirements for daily energy expendeture) and training regularly, you'll not put on too much fat.

good luck bro

Im pretty sure u r gonna overtrain doin 5x5 4 days a week and 2 days HIIT. even with gear that wouldnt be feasible

Agreed, if you eat clean and continue to do cardio, you should gain very little fat. I don't like your diet though. If you wish to do low carbs for bulking you will need a weekly carbup, more fat calories and less carbs on your low carb days.

IJ26, I'm training alot more than he is, and have made sick gains during my short bulking phase. I've been doing 3-4 sets for each body part 3 times a week (train half of my body every day, tkaing saturdays off) with two hitt sessions each week. The concept of overtraining is very over-rated.

bodybyfinaplix: can you post your pre and post workout eating routine.

somone told me "over training is really just under eating" is this true?

ok 10hrs of rest a day and eat like its your job, would that make over training near impossible, unless you injured yourself.?
