seeing my dads fat gut sitting on the couch with the remote eating all the time, then one year he started to lift and turned into a monster, he looked great and got shredded, naturally I was jealous and said time for me to hit the weights/
I was sick and tired of being 130 lbs at 5'8 and being called skinny by everyone I met. In the past year I've made it to 165 with barely an increase in bodyfat. Even though noone calls me skinny anymore, I still feel like I am, but I know I look a hell of alot better than I did before. That just motivates me more to reach my goal of 190 + and ripped.
I was 5'7" 119 lbs in the 9th grade! I wanted to get bigger and look like the guys in Muscle Builder and power...and i wanted to get laid!....now I am 6'2" 250lbs....and I get laid all the time ....dreams do come true!
Unlike competitive sports, bodybuilding provides more
individual recognition. And nothing gets more recognized
by men & women as a muscular physique. Ok money too!

I used to have a grover puppet/stuff animal. I used to honk its nose and I can still remember the way it tasted and smelled. probably b/c it was last year when I owned it. or when I was 6. same thing.
I also had a cookie monster puppet that I cut a hole in his mouth so I could feed him cookies. clever eh?
I had surgery on my foot. 4 bones fused together, and the doc told me that if I would stop smoking, change my diet, get into shape i would heal much faster and stronger. Since I was looking at a nine month recovery I thought anything I could do to shorten it would be beneficial to my sanity. The thought of lying back on the couch, with my foot up in the air for nine months watching daytime television was enough to motivate me to go to the gym - been there ever since!!
i got tired of getting beat up by girls all the time.
hehe....nah, i started lifting for two reasons - to increase my chances of getting more pussy and for intimidation.
now i lift to keep challenging myself.
it started in the first grade got punched in the stomach by a smartaleck 8th grader trying to impress his friends..now my general rule is i don't break bones on the first offence.......RADAR
I was that short fat kid who could be really sarcastic and take a hell of a beating, so I decided one day enough was enough. Still took the beatings but gave back lots of beatings on return,
Now it's just for stress relief, to keep from being a 260 lbs whale again and most of all because I love it and how it helps me succeed in other areas of my life.
A loong time ago when I was in school , I was tall, but too skinny. I had glasses at the tiem too, made me feel and look like a nerd. As a result suffered abuse at the hands of a few assholes. This affected my relations with other non assholian students, so I began doing pushups, chins, situps at 13. Did the highest number in my class at the fitness test at the end of the year. That got me respect. The next year I got a set of weights, curled an amzing 40 lbs for 10 reps on the firsty try.lol, and was hooked.
Now I love to train and improve. Oh yeah- I'm 120 lbs heavier now than when I first picked up a weight, so if anyone from back then wants a rematch......
