what is your WORST lift?

what is your worst lift compared to all of your others?

mine would have to be flat bench. i have a very good dead and squat, but when it comes to flat benching, it just isnt where it should be. every fucking time i flat bench, im always pissed off. it's been getting better, but it just isnt where i would like it to be.

so, what's your worst lift?

i cant even deadlift 185 w/o pain, so that's probably the worst at the moment

Out of compound movements?

My squat, because I'm afraid of hurtin' my knees (I go ass to floor, just don't wanna throw 200lbs and try squattin' it)

also bench, any kind. my flat bench max is ~255 and incline is even pussier, but my squat is 425 and dead is at 405. arrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh:mad:

I dunno...
I think its kind of relative to the lift.... Weight wise.. I'd have to say bench press... I think my max is around 270... but if you compare it to my squat.. which I can lift more on... my max is probably something like 275-280... Squat should be significantly more than bench... so in relative terms I'd have to say my squat is pretty aweful... I don't consider my bench that bad... But I've only been squatting for a few months... So that will explain a lot... I'm an idiot for neglecting legs for so long....

As compared to my other lifts, my squat is worst. I've deadlifted 355, benched 315, but squatted 295. But it IS going up. QUICKLY.

My dead seems pretty weak too, but ... squat is worse.

I'm with you on the flat bench I'm afraid. But at least no one thinks thats an important lift...

Right?

Wrong. It depends on your goals.:)

BTW, military press for me. I just can't seem to make good progress on that lift.

For me, definitely bench, my long arms make it difficult to push a lot of weight.I've managed to put around 100lbs on my working weight in about a year and a half, up the 325lbs for a few sets, but compared to my squat and deadlift that sucks ass

I have no idea what I can squat...but I hope for the 600+ raw range. My dead has to be near 700 but my bench is far behind (as well as my OHP).

You will experience a new blast of growth now. Think of all the boxed in testosterone that has been lying dormant in your legs. Now they are released. Congrats! :D

Shi*, I almost forgot. My worst lift is definitely arms. I haven't paid attention to them like I should have through the years but in my defense;
what the hell is a big pair of arms gonna' do for me on the court? Nada. I am working on them now but if I had my arms caught up to my chest & back I would be in the 20 range. 18 +.

Military Press...... I've never been able to stick with them. I'm my new routine I'm definately starting to hit shoulders harder though.

Flat bench..I totally suck.
Side Lateral Raises, although I do 'em straight out, parallel to my delts, I see most guys bending their arms and using over 30 pounds. I can only lift 20 pounds for 8 reps with good form.

G,
Your always better off lifting weights you can control. You will get strong and your body will last as long as you feed and rest it.

I'm right with ya bro. For a guy my size and my years in the gym, my flat bar bench just sucks. Been doing much better on the dbs lately, for a natty anyway. But flat bar has always been a bit of an embarrassment.

I feel your pain. :bawling:

I would say any pressing movement. I can use a considerable amount of weight, but long arms make it difficult.

No doubt. I'm 6'4" and all the arm pressing movements are tough off the line.

yeah, i think having long arms is the problem here...well, kinda. im happy with the amount of weight i can military/db press. i think my biggest problem with benching is that every time i do a set, i know it's gonna suck and not be where i want it to be. i think im my own worst enemy when it comes to increasing my bench. the thought of failing with the amount im shooting for is just ALWAYS there.

squats and flat bench........flat bench killsmy shoulders and squats just plain old kick my ass.......i dont even do flat bench anymore but u gotta do squats so i jus suck it up and do them as best i can. now flat dumbell presses are my shit i fuckin luv em

skullcrushers and barbell curls

i have a good bench cause my delts are big for my body, and good deadlift because i have good lowback and traps, and good squats cause i have good lowback and hams, but my arms are fucking tiny and weak.

same here. my arms are just weak as hell. but, I guess you could say I have a balanced physique.

squat(atf)=235
bench=225
dead(sumo)=335

I haven't been working on squats for a while, but I know I could easily get 315 sometime next year. having long extremities sucks...

mine is definetly flat and incline bench. i hate how so many old men and young punks come into my gym and do nothing but bench and put up a lot more than me even when im much much bigger.
then again i think its funny when their doing there bench presses and im doing my deads or squats and weighing a good 20-30-maybe 50+lbs more than these same guys and at a lower bf% too.

Well, I can't do pull-ups yet, so that's the absolute worst. But of the Big Three, definitely bench press. Spindly arms.
