this thread makes me HUNGRY!! No one here can eat remotely hot food, except the folks that have imigrated from far flung spots.

My friends think that 'Chi Chi's hot sauce is not only great but as hot as they can handle: THE HORROR!!!

I am a big ol' chipolte fan, not so much the fruitier ones, but dig them too. I make a bunch of different sambals and blatjangs, but only get a chance to use them when my more adventurous friends come to call.

Really into thai bbq and any and all thai chillie pastes: galic, shrimp paste, lime leaf, etc. Really dig that stuff...

Did some Dave's Insanity and Sudden death, but i lose track of the pepper flavors with that stuff, just too damn hot.

Had some oil from an Ethiopian guy I know that was cloudy-thick at roomtemp (palm oil??) that was flavored with a kind of black pepper, more licorice tasting than our black pepper, but just hot enough to peel paint. Pretty crazy but good aroma.

Obiwan, you from Jamaica? I used to live in Wadadli (antigua)...

I like Crystal Hot Sauce...not for the heat, but more for the vinegar taste..
Add some garlic....its the shit...
Good in Raman Noodles also... :chomp:

I've tried many and switch too often to have a real favorite...but for me, the key is taste. There has to be a depth of flavors to the sauce for it to be enjoyable. Hot/sour/smoky/garlicy ect....

It's not listed but I LOOOOOVE Gates' extra spicy bbq sauce. Gates BBQ is a popular staple here in the KC area. They have qwebsite, if anyone's interested in trying.
