My body fat % actually lowers when I bulk, because I bulk ultra clean and I put on so much muscle compared to how much fat I put on. BUT, to anwser your question most accurately, I'd say I'll limit myself to 10 pounds of fat gained in the whole cycle(assuming I put on 40-50 pounds of muscle, yes this has happened).
 
I'm sitting at about 9.5% right now after starting at 5%. I'd like to add another 5 - 10kg before I begin cutting though.

Hopefully I won't go past 14%.
 
If diet is in check you can 'bulk' - take note though that 'bulk' defines as both fat and muscle mass - without gaining fat. Allways do and always will.

Genetics play a role there though.
 
as long as i can still see my weiner if i stick my head forward enough.

jk- considering i always feel like a skinny fat ass no matter what i look like, i just go untill i think im unbearable and then go a couple weeks more.

like now i started to get little flabs of fat that stick out a bit when i have pants with semi tightish waistbands, and 2 weeks ago i dicided to do madcow 5x5 (see training forum). ill see where im at when im done and probably cut after it. ill probably need to cause i began ramping up cals quite a bit cause i wanna make sure im taking full advantage of the program
 
I think the rule should be to not let your gut block the view of your own dick. That's usually a sign to get that diet in check. :RADAR: :shocked:
 
I try to keep it within reason. Bulking, to me, is a lame excuse to eat whatever you want to gain weight, which leads to fat accumulation, depending on the type of bulk you're on. When I typically bulk, I will try to stay about 500 calories above maintanance for a few months. This will add a few lbs of fat, however, it'll give me the best proportion of LBM vs fat.
 
Well, I'm "bulking" right now. I keep a very strict caloric intake. I just bumped it up 200 more calories, but I'm also going to start doing a little cardio. I was tested by a total rookie, but he got me at 12.2 right now. I'm doing 5X5 right now. Once it is over, I'm probably going to decondition/cut/cardio for 2 weeks and do another HST cycle.
