I asked this question on the workout forum but didn't know if it would be more appropriate here seeing that I am just coming back from distal clavicle resection surgery:
When you guys do barbell upright rows do you bring the bar up to where the elbows and forearms are level to the ground, like seen here:
http://www.exercisedb.com/exercisedatabase/viewanexercise.asp?table=exercises&ID=19
Or do you bring it up higher, like to the chin, as seen here:
http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/DeltoidLateral/BBUprightRow.html
Which way is better for building your lateral delts? Which way is safer for your shoulders?
