What Is the Lowest My Wife Can Get Her Bodyfat % to be without Losing Her Boobs?

curling

New member
My wife is 5'5 she has went from a 150lbs to 114 (very proud of her) Anyway I told her she needed to get her bodyfat checked because we are both lifting heavy and she is on a mild anavar cycle so she will probably gain some muscle weight which isn't bad but she freaks about the scale.

So anyway she measure in a 15.5%. The lady at the gym said she shouldn't go below 14% for her height is that true? Also my wife thinks if she loses anymore bodyfat her boobs will shrink is that true?

Thanks ladies.

I talked to a girl who had the fat sucked out of her belly and out in her boobs... No kidding... In a perfect world, that would solve my problems LOL.. ;) ;) ;)

In all honesty, the lower her bodyfat goes, the smaller her boobs may become.

There are some fitness girls who I think look REALLY good with small boobs and no implants:)

Because boobs are basically fat, you can expect them to start getting smaller if they haven't already. Hard to say at what specific bodyfat % it will start going down, but you can probably expect somethign AT LEAST below 12% and 14% wouldn't be unexpected. Dependign one what your wife is comfortable losing to achieve those lower bf levels, I would guess to adjust the diet for maintenance.

Thanks for the answers. Here is the underlying problem she wants to have a flat stomach(she still has just a little pooch) is there anyway she can loose that pooch without losing anymore boobs.

IMO it's genetics. It's also gender. Having a uterus in the abdomen makes the 'pooch' under the belly button.

To get rid of the 'pooch:
1. REALLY low body fat. So low that it's *likely* to make her lose most of the boobs (although we can't say for sure). Also very difficult to maintain long term.
2. Surgery.

That's it, no way to spot reduce to remove the pooch.

I highly recommend she get used to it. She's female. Personally whenever I see women with boobs & butts (like Playboy models, not fitness models) it pisses me off that their bellies are so flat. That's not natural. Women aren't built that way. Unless your body fat is super low, you usually have *Some* fat there.

when i started working out, i went from a big d to a small c. i hated it. wish my ass would shrink as fast as my boobs did. i say surgery all the way. thats how i got back where i started on the boobs! well worth the $$$$$ ;)

Thanks for all the advice. You lost me about the playboy models and the fitness models what did you mean by that. What do the fitness models do different that the playbody models?

Fitness models work hard for their bodies... Playboy models pay for them :D what Gladiola meant was that it's obviously NOT NATURAL looking for a woman to be extremely thin, thus having a completely flat stomach, and have huge double D's and a perfect ass. It just doesn't work out that way naturally. Usually some, if not several, surgical enhancements are made to accomplish that type of look.

I say go with the boob job!
Sounds like a great Christmas/Birthday/whatever present she'll love you for. I'm with TEXgrl it's worth every penny.

So a fitness model could get their body(flat stomach, good butt) from working out, eating right and proper sleep but they would lose their breast?

Texgrl and Carolinachick,

I have thought about getting her some implants but big boobs while they look good I also think small boobs look good too. Plus I am kinda of jealous dude and chicks with big boobs get hit on so much more than smaller boob chicks.

I guess there is no way around it. I went from a nice solid D to a puny B...i guess i could either be chunky and have nice big boobs, or be thin and cut and have to deal with my teeny ones. Maybe one day i'll get implants, but i am starting to get used to these.

Who cares what size her boobs are. All that matters is that she's happy with her body and healthy. I might suggest that at her height and weight she could prifitably add more muscle rather than lose more fat, and thus look doubly devastating!

Yup - exactly!!! & somehow they have that flat tummy & tiny waist, but don't look emaciated with gaunt faces & poking out ribs. - it doesn't add up.

Boob job would be a good idea, but even so, it is possible that she still might have some 'pooch' unless she's in the SUPER LOW bf range - a range that simply might not be WORTH maintaining.

 um, they look totally different! Besides not being 'chizled' & cut/ripped, Playboy girls also have round asses.

I'm with MS - she needs to be happy with her body. & IMO that means learning to accept a bit that she can pinch... a bit to pinch in the belly is part of the female body. Heck, even pros don't go around ripped to shreds year round, right? ;)

I couldn't agree more. She lifts heavy enough to get more muscle but man she doesn't eat right and take in anywhere near the amount of protein she needs to repair muscle.

Get her on here - we'll fix her up! :D

LOL Maybe I should. God knows she won't listen to me about nutrition even though I am constantly studying about it. I guess it is because I am her husband and what wife listens to their husbands? :D

I COMPLETELY agree that fitness models work hard for their bodies. But to say Playmates sculp and fitness models work hard is a little stretch...

I've talked to a fitness model ( never will mention the name) and lipo was involved.. C'mon, they get breast implants do you think they wouldn't lipo a problem aread?? :)

All the exercise in the world will not make up for poor diet. As she ages, she'll find it harder and harder to stay ahead of the fat tide unless she does something to add or at least KEEP the muscle mass she does have. I see it happen to women all the time. They might stay skinny, but they become skinny fat - granny arms and all.

I know all about the 'training hard but not eating right' routine, because I thought I could train around my bad diet. I could until my mid-30's, then the party was over. It's hard to take that step into better eating, but once I did, I found I could actually train less but get even BETTER results. Those people who say "diet is 80%" (or whatever the number) are right! She's shooting herself in the foot w/ her bad diet.

FAT TIDE! :laugh2:
Yup, all the exercise in the world doesn't make up for lousy diet.

I had heard this before, but I just reread the other day that we lose 1/2 a pound lean muscle mass every year after the age of 25 if we do nothing to stop it & that translates to a lowered BMR of 100 cals per day!!! So exactly as you said .... if you do nothing to stop the tide, you lose muscle & gain fat. You stay 'skinny' & get SKINNY FAT!

FitFossil - Good to see you around. I was just thinkin' about you yesterday - thought I hadn't seen a post from you lately (could just be I don't read all threads tho).

I lost 30lbs. went from a C to a very small A I wanted to continue my training and possibly (Lord willing) do some figure fitness within the next 2 yrs. I knew I would never get my boobs back. And a flat chest just doesn't go well w/ broad shoulders and wids hips.
I'm not saying go out and get'er a set of DD's. You can be modest with breast implants just find a good Dr. It all depends on her shape. And make sure It's what SHE wants.
CC.

I'm just curious, those of you who have had boob jobs and are happy with them, how did go about finding a good doctor? I'm not done losing my fat yet but I expect to be a med-small C when I get 14-16%. I was a borderline DD/D when I began. I think I look better with smaller boobs, judging by those minimizer bras. Not that C is small, though. So my idea of a boob job would be a "lift" not implants. Either way, question still applies...how do you go about finding a good doc? Assuming you don't have any friends who've had this done?

I'm 3 weeks post-op and now I have boobs again! I used to be a B, but leaning out from weight training and good diet made my boobs disappear completely, and there ain't NO cup size for just nipples. The only cleavage I had was from my pecs. I think I'll end up being a small C. For my frame and all the running I like to do, I wouldn't want to carry any more.

As for finding a good doctor, do lots of research. Check out implantinfo.com and implantforum.com. These sites have message boards and you can discuss doctors. Go to consultations, get a feel for the doc and see examples of his work. On these sites they also show you how to research a doctor, to confirm he's board certified, see if any complaints have been filed, etc.

VeggieLifterChick:

I started off by getting on some of the implant manufactor websites. A good one ta go to is www.mentorcorp.com
They will send info on all the different types of implants and a list of sergeons in your area. Check out a couple of them.
And when you do go in for your consultation have a list of all the questions you may have and take notes. The prices will vary but go w/ the Doc (and his staff) that you feel most comfortable w/. Also talk to him about size. You don't want ta come out looking like you're smuggling basketballs. Make sure you tell him you want to look natural. Take your time! This is a big decision ta make. Think of all your options then decide.
Let me know if you have any questions. I may be able to help.

FF and CC,
Thanks for the info! I wouldn't be looking to get implants though, I'd be looking for a lift, which is a little different. Same advice applies except I guess i'd just look for different web sites I guess?
So FF how soon after surgery can you lift and run? Did it hurt?

i used to work in a mammography center and i saw a couple surgeons before i settled on one. one of the deciding factors i had was that the surgeon i had did a lot of reconstructive after breast cancer. he was the one our office sent all our cancer patients to.

second, do you know anyone around you who has had them done.? find out who their doc was and if they would recommend him

don't shop around for the cheapest. i have a friend who found the cheapest doc and i don't think hers look nearly as good as mine.

also, the consults are free, so see as many as you can. most of the staff at plastic surgeons offices get theirs done for free after they work there for so long, so you can also take a look at their work first hand. if you don't like what you see, keep looking.

i was a full D before i started working out, then dropped to a small floppy C. we spent a lot of time on our boat and i hated how i looked. i'm now back up to a DD and i'm very happy with them now. i think they are worth the money if you are really unhappy with how you look.

also, i thought i needed a lift and implants, and when they measured me they said they actually weren't sagging enough for that.

Texgrl,

A few questions for you. How much was you surgury and how long did it take before you could lift again. Also what kind of boating do you do? (I am a big wakeboarder myself)

VLC - I was cleared for lower body and cardio after 10 days. They said I could run if I felt like it (meaning bouncing didn't hurt), but I'm deliberately playing it safe and doing elliptical trainer. I have another appt next week. They'll probably say I can do upper body, but to wait longer on chest (just a guess). Do you mean did the surgery hurt or working out again?

Even though you only want a lift, you still might want to check out those sites I mentioned. Many of the women get lifts w/ implants but others just lifts. Probably if you posted a question on those sites about lifts, they might tell you if there are any websites about that.

i'm in dallas, so mine cost 4700, and that was with a discount. the guy i saw was higher than most, but i really liked him and wanted him to do it. he used mentor implants that were round because i didn't want the teardrop shaped. they are also the textured implants because the smooth ones i didn't hear real good things about them.

i was out of the gym for 2 weeks, came back and did cardio and lower body for about 3 weeks. then i started back on upper body stuff. had to go pretty low on chest stuff for a couple months. i'm a year out and lifting more than ever. i never had any pain really with my workouts once i started on chest again, but i do feel the muscles in my chest around the implants. kinda feels like it is pulling, but no big deal.

another thing, i always liked the way they looked, but they told me when i had the surgery it would be several months before they actually "settled down" to where they should be. they said even tho you don't have any pain that it does take that long for them to really heal. they rode a little high on my chest for about the first 6 months i'd say. the longer i have them, the more i like them and the way they look.

sorry curling, missed the boating question. we have a 22 foot chris craft with a 454. we don't do any skiing, some tubing. mostly boat out somewhere and drink beer and play :D

Thanks the answer. So was it saline or was it silicone implants?

454 huh I bet it moves. And what lake do ya'll hit? You should try wakeboarding it is alot funner(not a real word but I like it so I use it maybe I should send it in to Websters) than skiing. Ya'll should try to make the Elite get together at Lake Travis this coming Memorial day.

Lake Texoma!!! its 89 thousand acres. we've gotton so spoiled there, we just can't boat on anything any smaller.

maybe so but you can't count 60,000 acres because they are in OLKAHOMA  :D

But seriously have you ever been to Travis? It is beautiful, big cliffs(Texas Hill country, blue water, and THREE drive up in your boat clubs on the lake. Plus all the elite people from Texas are going to be there.

i have saline implants, but i've been hearing about some new oil filled implants, but i don't know anything about them. i'm not sure anybody still does silicone filled anymore.

you know, about the oklahoma thing, i know there have been some times i felt like my IQ was a little lower, but i just thought that was the beer, maybe it was that i was in oklahoma :D

my bf is at 10-11%. I never had big boobs, but what I did have, I lost. I wanted to lose fat, and the lower my % went, the more they shrank!:(
